This dr deserves less than a 1 star. I had a Skype meeting with her at 3pm. I spent time writing out my symptoms and history which would have taken her 5min to read. 3:55pm comes around and her nurse calls to tell me she will not be skyping with me today because my symptoms need to be seen in person (which I already had said when scheduling). She wasted a week of my time I could have been calling and finding another neuro to get into. Then at 8pm at night I get a random call...from her. She calls and acts like everything is fine never apologizing for missing our 3pm appoint. She only states my symtpoms are too many and there's just too much to look at. Then she starts asking me about my symptoms....so I know she never even read the note I sent. 5min of her time was just too much and missing appoints and calling at 8pm randomly at night. She then tells me I should just go to the er. Her behavior is disgusting. Shame on her.

What a wonderful, caring doctor. Went far and beyond what others had tried to do for me. Others prescribed, went through the motions, but no positive results. Dr. Kathie tried several approaches and when they didn't achieve what she felt matched her expectations for me, she tried another. Now at 81, I feel better than I had during the last 6 years. I am so thankful.

Very good doctor! Dr. Kowalczyk is very thorough in her exams. She has been treating me for Neuralgia since 2016, and I really like her as my neurologist. She always tries to find the best treatment to help me with pain. This doctor is up to date with the latest advancements in the field.

My experience with Dr. Kathie Kowalczyk was one of the most pleasant I have had with a physician in a long time. She was very compassionate, very knowledgable, listened patiently, and helped me with all of my problems on the first visit. I would recommend her to my family, or anyone seeking a well qualified Neurologist.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a physician. She is confrontational, rigid, accusatory and absolutely closed to any opinion that is not aligned with hers. She abruptly ended the visit, obviously angry , saying "That's it!" She held the exam room door open indicating she was done with me and opened the door to the waiting room for me to leave, telling me only that the office manager would call me. I felt dismissed, humiliated and medically abandoned. Her nurse did call me but I didn't hear the phone. No message was left. I called the office back but the answering service took my call and I did leave a message for the office manager with them. I called again the next week and spoke with the nurse who gave me the names of two specialists that I could contact for further care.

i would not recommend her to anyone. She is deceitful . She treated my husband over a year & stated everything was ok. which he was. all he had was a little short term memory loss typical for an 80 yr old. At his last appt she gave him a followup for the next year since he was ok. but when we gave her a form to fill out for the DMV. SHE said no problem, she would complete i& mail it. all she did was say my husband had dementia & seizures. His license was revoked causing him depression.

Terrible.... does not listen. She thinks she knows more then she does. I told her I have bad reaction to sleep aides ant yet she prescribed Klonopin. I didn't only sleep walk, but I was woken up by the taist of paint! Yes I walks out to garage, got a can of paint and used a fork to feed myself. I thought she had listened and I ( stupidly) didn't look up so see that Klonopin is a sleep aide. All that to get help for my RLS. VERY DISAPOINTING!

First off, do a search and you will find this doctor is NOT certified in neurology. She is not a neurologist! This doctor is horrible and does not know how to treat a senior trying to deal with an illness. The treatment my dad received was appalling. I have never seen anything like this. As another review stated, walks out when appointment is over, despite giving an upsetting diagnosis. Do yourself a favor and spare yourself the upsetment of dealing with her.

My Dad saw Dr. Kowalczyk after a Jan 2017 stroke. She was flippant, is out of touch with the senior population that she serves, did not spend appropriate time evaluating him, & I do not recommend her! My 89 y/o father suffered from aphasia after his stroke, worked hard to regain his speech & independence. After taking & PASSING an on the road driving test she referred him to take ($$), she did no honor the results. He wasted his time and $$! Why she had him go thru motions is deplorable!!

I have never had a worse experience with a physician. She was arrogant and condescending. Her behavior was deplorable.. It was actually shocking to experience a physician treat a patient so poorly. If you are searching for a Neurologist, I cannot recommend strongly enough that you continue your search.

Dr K is very knowledgeable and accessible when you have questions or concerns. I have a pretty complex medical history and she did a significant work up leaving nothing out. When I received some bad news she actually gave me a hug!! Her staff is helpful and will try to get me the help or answer if they don't know. Being in the Healthcare field myself it is refreshing to see a provider with a human side that is also bright and knowledgeable-not always seen in tandem in PA-Cs/MDs/Surgeons etc.

She complains a lot...she does not listen to you, and then she tells you that you have nothing wrong with you. She tells me that I have too many complaints. Very disappointing experience. I got the hospital records and she didn't even write things the way I told her. Will not go back there again.

I saw Dr Kowalczyk for continued facial pain and spasm after a physical accident and was concerned about nerve damage. Without any testing, I was told I needed to see a psychiatrist and I was imagining the symptoms. When I questioned the validity of her diagnosis, she stated she gathered her diagnosis from records I provided from a previous head injury 2 years prior. I explained this was a recent injury and I only supplied that information as an aid for comparison. She is not very knowledgable.
