Dr. Katherine Savells, MD

I never write reviews, especially for health care providers because I have spent my career in the field and I know how hard it is to make patients happy. However, we left Mobile Pediatric Clinic today because of what I see as overbilling and then when brought to her attention, refusing to remove additional billing that was not asked for or discussed.Dr. Savells saw my son for a complaint of constipation. My son has had a history of ear infections, which had nothing to do with why we were there on and we have been seeing an ENT for pretty regularly. She decided to look in his ears. She decided in one ear without my permission to do a quick sweep because there was wax in her way. A very small amount I could have cleared myself with a tissue or q-tip. Then she proceeded to see my son for what we were there for. On her claim, she documented she performed an ear extraction procedure which cost the insurance company hundreds of dollars. One of the worst pediatricians in Mobile. Careless. Doesn't listen. Has no desire to help your baby feel better when your baby is sick. Bad attitude. She will also tell you that you can't take your baby to a hospital if your baby isn't feeling well because there's a virus going around. I'm here to tell you, you can take your baby to a hospital ANYTIME you need to. They don't close, ever. Not even for a virus. Thankfully we will be helped by someone else. If she never had the desire to be thorough with babies, she should of picked a different career.

Switch my child to her last year,and haven't seen no dr like her in years.She listening,very patients,and so respectful on how she handled her patients especially on what she say to her patients. Took my son to the dr today and the one thing i learned today is to stick to what you know.And change can be a disappointment.Everybody don't handled their business the same way. Even more grateful now that Dr Savell is my child primary doctor

Heaven sent! Best pediatrician we could ask for! She has helped so much with my kids. Having a child who is gifted and the old pediatrician couldn't even give us an answer for what he had! She has been so great with every situation we have.

Dr. Savells is by far the best pediatric doctor I've encountered. Her practice is always up to date and she gives you all the information concerning your child's growth; physically, and mentally. She's is very compassionate, which eases any concerns I have regarding my daughter's overall health. I wish all doctors were like her!

Appointment desk rude have very nasty attitudes, scheduled me a certain appointment and wrote different appointment on card, caused my kids to get dismissed from their office! Also my child was wheezing from the day we left the hospital and she said it was normal and got another doctor opinion my child has asthma. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone
