Beware of false billing tactics
I recently went to visit this office for the 3rd time. I would get text messages asking to confirm the appointment and I had a balance due. I called their office on a Friday to ask about this balance and they asked me to call my insurance company. I said I would like to confirm my appt. for a Monday morning. Will there be an issue? Answer was No problem. I go in Monday for my appointment and I was told I needed to pay the balance in full before I see DR Macoul. I explained this story that I needed to speak to insurance company first, then I'll pay. I will pay my co payment for today then, if I owe a I'll pay. DR Macoul refused to see me, asked me to reschedule after I speak to my ins co. They 1st told me it's ok then said it wasn't the day of. Very rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak to an office manager or the DR Macoul but they refused. I am filing a grievance with my ins company. Seems like Dr. Macoul cares more bout money than her patients.
