Dr. Katherine Garfield, MD

Dr Garfield saved my life two years ago. She responded to me without question when I said I had no symptoms but a feeling something was wrong. She sent me down the hall for a sonogram and discovered a tumor on my ovary. Told me to get a surgeon immediately. Long story short, I am alive and well today after extensive surgery and chemo because she listened and respected me.

I love her! She delivered my first daughter and will be delivering my second. I have high risk pregnancies and she is always so supportive, informative, knowledgeable and compassionate.

Dr. Garfield is excellent. She provided top level medical care both through surgical and in-office visits. I would highly recommend. She is also very compassionate and really listens.

Dr. Garfield is so wonderful. She is super nice and creates a calm and comfortable environment. She took the time to listen to all the concerns during my first visit and answered all my questions in a non-medical language. She ensured I had all my concerns addressed, shared all the options with the pros and cons, and helped me decide the best course of action. Getting a Colposcopy can be scary but she guided me along the process so I was prepared for every next step. She is very approachable and non-judgemental, which was awesome for me as an immigrant who is not used to the American medical system. I'm glad I found a great OB/GYN in DC.

Dr. Garfield was my OB during my recent (very difficult) pregnancy. I was so lucky to have Dr. Garfield, who was helpful and knowledgeable about the different medical issues I was facing, but she was also supportive and caring. She took the time to answer any questions I had and talk through everything I needed to know. She is a wonderful doctor and person.

I already left a review that said that she was very kind, gentle, and patient and she recommended that I see a urogynecologist. and gave me a referral. I would definitely recommend Dr Garfield.
