Dr. Foster saved my wife's life. My wife had an unexpected PPH and was bleeding very badly very quickly. It was a true emergency situation. Dr. Foster took control of the delivery room nurses and was able to quickly get the necessary medicine and blood on hand, all while massaging my wife's uterus trying to slow the bleeding. I was incredibly impressed with her and will always be in her debt. All of the Wake Med nurses told us that we were lucky to have Dr. Foster in the room that day.

Dr. Foster embodies everything a patient would want in a physician: superior knowledge base, professional and caring manner and has a calming presence. She took the time to listen to my questions and concerns.

Dr. Foster is great. She listens, cares, and helps with any issues.

I just adore Dr. Foster. From the very first visit, she has made me feel comfortable and ensured I understood everything during my pregnancy. Always ready to answer any questions, which helped me to amen decisions regarding my care.

I explained to Dr. Foster that I had had very poor experiences with OBGYNs in the past and she was very considerate of that during the entire appointment. I felt like she listened to me.

It should be noted that I don’t usually write bad reviews. I realize that good bedside manner does not necessarily make a good doctor (I’ve had doctors who have had none and were great), but a certain degree of caring about a patient (I felt she did not) and truly listening to them does. She was curt and abrupt and cut concerns short - even the compliance question answers. I can handle swift and cold. What I don’t place trust in is what was presented to me as a lack of genuine attention or concern. Considering my case and what could have been (or really still could be) a potentially serious health situation, I would look for other physicians. There are many good ones out there who will strain a little bit to make sure that common and possible inadequacies in testing are scrutinized, especially considering the context of my potential problem - one for which the symptoms are silent until it’s too late. I feel embarrassed and foolish for bothering her.

Dr. Foster has been the most caring, patient, kind and "doctorly" physician I have ever seen. She is the kind of doctor that you expect to see when you go to an appointment. A lot of doctors I have encountered have horrible bedside manner, rush you through your visit, don't take time to ask questions or listen to your questions, and treat you like you're just a number in the herd of people coming through. She took time to answer her questions, thoroughly listened, did not make us feel rushed, and was overall very helpful, truthful, and gave us hope. I'm very happy we found her when we did.
