Choose Another Doctor
The head of scheduling did not call me back for three days after a doctors referral. When she did finally call me back she interrupted what I was saying immediately, did not get the correct information, and completely cut me off. I will never go to this doctor because of the way I was treated and I recommend you don’t either.

I have great confidence in Dr. Toosie. She took great care to explain all the details of my lumpectomy and follow-up. She answered all my questions with great patience and made me feel that I was important to her. A wonderful doctor.

I love this doctor
Dr. Toosie is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She also has a heart. She did an excellent job with my mastectomy and follow up and respected my decision to not have reconstruction. I would like to go to her if I ever need surgery again.

Specialist
Dr Toosie may just be the most competent Dr. in the world working with breast disease and problems. Her knowledge is second to none. She knows and understands what needs to be done and the best way to treat each situation with a custom treatment. Her ability to work with other doctors and facilities is the best. When my wife was being treated I asked most of the facilities about her and they all showed a great deal of respect for her ability.

Before I found Dr Toosie, lost in the unknown! She spent time with me, explained everything! For the first time in almost 4 months since my diagnosis I feel at peace! She’s wonderful! Friendly and chatty doctor who calls patients her "children" but has a chaotic surgical style. Completely messed up the sample she removed via biopsy (said so over the phone the pathologist who analyzed the material she sent to the Lab) and then she unethically sat on my results for 9 days because she "forgot about it" due to problems with partners in her practice. How do you prioritize your personal drama over the needs of a cancer patient is beyond me. Thanks to her poor performance, I went to UCSD where I received the care cancer patients deserve. I hope she cares more about her patients nowadays.

What an outstanding human. I don't even have the words to express how much appreciation I have for Dr. Toosie. I was extremely nervous and anxious about two breast biopsies I needed. Dr. Toosie was incredibly empathetic, took the time to listen, was incredibly thorough...and even made me laugh when I shed a few anxious tears. Her assistant was a young woman currently enrolled in school to become a nurse and she too was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommended.

Dr. Toosie had to surgically remove 2/3 of my colon during emergency surgery. She not only saved my life, but took the extra time to resection my intestines so I did not need to have a temporary colostomy.

I was feeling dreadful and getting worse. Heartburn, headaches, lack of energy, diarrhea, vomiting etc. When I collapsed on Saturday morning, my husband took me to Tri City Medical Emergency where by good fortune I ended up in the extremely capable hands of Dr. Toosie. She diagnosed my gall bladder infection & after immediate surgery I felt better than I have in years! Totally amazing that Dr. Toosie could not only diagnose my critical condition, but reverse it immediately. Fantastic!!!

I had a rough experience, due to a bleeding condition I did not know I had, I ended up with a hematoma at the incision site of my lumpectomy. Dr. Toosie had to open it back up 2 weeks after surgery. Because I was having chemo, the wound remained open and did not heal for 6 months. Dr. Toosie stuck with me & stayed on top of it, bringing me in at the hint of any problem. She was very positive and addressed my many fears with loving kindness. She is a special kind of surgeon and I am ever grateful
