Dr. Katarzyna Perlman, MD

She’s careless and rude, she definitely not supposed yo treats women that are mom to be.

I had an appointment with Dr. Perlman at the Boro Park OB/GYN- Newkirk location. I am still furious about the way she handled my procedure. I always see the midwives, however, this particular procedure can only be performed by a doctor. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Perlman. I looked her up online, she had many positive reviews so that made me more at ease. After the medical assistant prepped me, I waited at least 30 minutes for Dr. Perlman to come to the room. Upon entry, she did not introduce herself, she did not ask me for my name nor verify who I was and what procedure I was there for! She immediately began instructing me to scoot down bring my feet up in the stirrups and open my legs. She did not even check to see if I signed the consent form. (FYI: the consent form was the only explanation that I received on what was actually going to happen during the procedure!) She was very rough during the procedure, she was putting the speculum in roughly and was moving it around without regard for me. She did not show compassion, she was not gentle, she was not pleasant. She had no bed side manner, no interpersonal skills. I will not be seeing her again. Everything was happening so fast and the procedure was so invasive that I didn’t say anything in the moment, but I wish I did. She did not give me any post procedure care tips and just said that she will call me when the results are in. I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Perlman’s conduct and I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to see her.

Dr. Kataryzna Perlman identified an effective treatment for a complex gyn issue, She took the time before and after hours to see it through. Her bedside manner, patience and skill set is extraordinaire, I have full confidence in her ability in the gyn sphere.

For patients, a doctor that moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones (Confucius). Dr. K. Perlman’s time, patience & determination towards helping patients “step by step” in small “loads” is valued tremendously. Despite a packed schedule, she took the time to fit me last minute with genuine care and compassion on a very busy evening. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met such an outstanding and unique provider like Dr. Perlman.

I was seeing a midwife at this practice and I LOVED her. However, due to a midwife shortage, I was informed by the practice she could not see me anymore since midwives were reserved for pregnant patients. I was gutted since I had finally found a doctor I loved and felt comfortable with. Anyways, they then said I could see Dr. Perlman instead and I agreed because she also had pretty decent reviews. After waiting for a while, she finally came in and everything was so rushed, I left feeling uncertain and as if I did not even have a real appointment…if that makes sense. She was nice, but any answers to questions I had were short and not very detailed. Didn’t feel listened to completely, nothing was told to me about next steps I should take, and I am still waiting for results from tests over a week later. Overall, I think I will choose another practice for my next annual if I cannot see my original midwife at that point.

Dr Pearlman was kind, gentle, patient, and thorough. She listened to me, calmed me down and got to the bottom of a complicated health issue. Terrific experience!!

This doctor should stop seeing patients. While preforming a physical breast exam, she told me everything was absolutely fine. A week after that I've discovered a 1.4 cm lump in my breast turning out to be cancer. Very unprofessional and her credentials needs to be checked if she really is a doctor.
