A very talented surgeon who went above & beyond!
As someone who just underwent a double mastectomy due to having breast cancer I was terrified at the thought of such a drastic change to my body. I knew it had to be done, but it still is very difficult to wrap your head around such a massive change. My plans were to see if I could have surgery and go direct to implant or to have expanders put in as I was not ready at this part of my journey to be flat chested. Dr. Newillo explained the risks of what I wanted and that the better option for me would be for her to hold off on implants and resume that surgery at a later date. I understood and agreed. Dr. Newillo then contacted me with an idea that would give me a little something up top naturally using my own tissue! I was ecstatic that she went out of her way, researched and found something that would work for me! Not only did she do a wonderful job with the surgery itself, but she also revised a horrendous scar from where my port was placed! I am so lucky to have met her!

Professional, Caring, Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Nowillo performed my breast reconstruction after a double mastectomy due to breast cancer in March. She, along with my surgeon, Dr. Rojas, were absolutely top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. She is very patient and always willing to answer any questions. Her nurse is also fantastic and very friendly. Dr. Nowillo never makes me feel rushed during appointments. I am very happy with the results of my surgery. Having cancer is a very stressful situation but Dr. Nowillo, Dr. Rojas, their staff and the Putnam Hospital Center exceeded my expectations and I knew I was in good hands.

Don’t go to her unless you want to feel shamed and embarrassed about your physical appearance. I went to see her for breast reduction after increasing significantly in breast size after two children. The nurse WARNED me that the doctor is going to make me lose weight before surgery (I gained a little during both pregnancy, workout 5 days a week, eat clean, and have perfect vitals). I found that to be quite triggering. The doctor came in and evaluated me and said I’m a good candidate for this surgery, but began to ask me what my “weight loss goal” is and was fixated on numbers. I told her my healthy lifestyle and habits and that numbers are not my focus. She would NOT let it go. She continued to ask for how much weight I wanted to lose and told me I had to lose an unrealistic amount of weight before she considers taking me on. I mentioned to her that I was in a lot of pain from being so chest heavy and that putting a weight loss number can potentially lead me into bad habits. This doctor was extremely apathetic. She even made inappropriate comments about my stomach sticking out which made me uncomfortable and self- conscious. Despite me advocating that my chest is a negative factor in my ability to properly exercise, my expressed negative feelings about unhealthy weight loss habits, and pain levels, she did not care. She did not want to even take photos or consider me until I lost this obscene amount of weight. I left crying and traumatized. I never felt so degraded in my life.

Awful
Dr Nowillo did my reconstruction after mastectomy and butchered me. My reconstruction is absolutely disgusting. I can't even look at myself. It doesn't look like a breast at all and it is awful not to mention the pain that is still occurring. I cry all the time. When I went back for my follow ups she did not give a concern for how bad it looked. She gave me a prescription for an insert for my bra to help me look better in my clothes. Please, think twice before making her your surgeon. Currently looking for another plastic surgeon to fix what she ruined.

Intelligent, Empathetic, Skilled Surgeon & Staff
As a breast cancer patient, I received reconstructive surgery from Dr. Nowillo and am very pleased with the results. Prior to the surgery Dr. Nowillo took the time to answer questions and alleviate concerns. She and her entire staff have treated me with kindness and patience and I would recommend them without any hesitation.

I had surgery with Dr. Nowillo in 2017. I am a male getting nipple reduction and gland removal. Throughout various appointments prior to the operation I felt like she did not listen to me and didn’t take me seriously. I even showed her recommended pictures of what I would want the outcome to replicate. Safe to say almost 5 years later and thousands of dollars later, my operation has left me more self conscious then before and with permanent scarring that she did not mention would occur. I am currently looking for a new surgeon to the same procedure. Definitely do not go to this doctor if you are a male.

The worst experience ever with a doctor! I felt she delittled me and only told me the obvious. I paid $175.00 dollars for a 5 minute consult for her only to tell me she can’t help me. Arragant and rude is an understatement. Her nurse was very nice.

This was probably the worst experience we have ever had with a doctor!! She made us wait FOREVER (almost two hours) and then refused to do the procedure my husband went there for because his blood pressure was a little high - it was absolutely ridiculous! She is stuck up, arrogant, rude, NASTY and has a horrible attitude! I advise everyone to RUN the other way from this poor excuse for a physician!!!

I survived breast cancer and Dr. Nowillo and her nurse were amazing. She did my reconstruction and was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease during such a difficult time. She always helped me feel involved in my care and was understanding of the many anxieties i felt. I would not have chosen another plastic surgeon. Her nurse was friendly and helpful and always made sure i was accommodated and taken care of. I had a great experience and I am more then satisfied with the care i received.
