Condescending, arrogant, abrasive, egotistical doc
My parents saw Dr. Schwarze for 10 years for kidney disease. He would order blood work, then discuss the results (which we saw on MyChart) at an office visit. Thankfully, my parents did not need treatment. My Dad started having gout flare-ups, which did require regular visits. Instead of prescribing basic preventative medication along with the flare-up gout medication that are regularly prescribed and inexpensive, Dr Schwarze right away got him started on a very expensive alternative treatment program of injections to lessen the pain. When that didn't work well, he then prescribed a very expensive infusion treatment to prevent future flare-ups. My issues mostly began when I started questioning his treatment plan. I never cared much for him to begin with, but things rapidly deteriorated. He belittles his own office staff & other doctors. He says what he feels like saying, even when it is rude and has nothing to do with the patient's care. We found another doc; the gout is managed.
