Dr. Kari Purcott, MD

Dr. Purcott is a gem! She was my provider for my third pregnancy. She instantly made me feel at ease and helped me create a plan that both of us were comfortable with. I felt heard through out the entire process and supported. She even gave me her personal cell phone number that I saved for a few emergency - type questions off- hours. She really cares about her patients! Ceci her nurse is also top notch. She helped me stay on top of all of the testing and always went above and beyond!One item to note is that this office is fairly new, so they didn’t have a patient portal set up yet, so that made admin related items a bit clunky but in time that will go away once they are fully up and running.

After having a bad experience at another doctors office, I was recommended to Dr. Purcott and I have never been so comfortable and well cared for then I have with Dr. Purcott and her staff. I am so happy I was sent over to her team. They are very informative, patient, and make each appointment visit very easy. I appreciate all they've done for me and will definitely recommend Dr. Purcott and her team to all I can.

Dr. Purcott and all of the staff at Pacific view were incredible! Their care and communication is probably some of the best I’ve seen. Dr. Purcott really took the time to listen to my concerns and was very helpful and informative.

Dr visit was fine. She used alot of profanity but .....I guess thats not the worst of it ..It was the follow up with dr and staff that was unacceptable. No call backs...No way to correspond with doctor(portal)...I felt like I was repeating myself everytime I left a message. My situation never got clarified. She was demanding I take a dose of medication I did not feel I needed and she would not prescribe the original lower dose. She was experiencing a power struggle I believe.She would not address my concerns until I came to see her but no appts avail for a month. She and her staff are disconnected with the patients. Mabe over worked. check it out before you go with her .

Dr. Purcott was nothing short of an amazing doctor to me & my future baby. Her honesty & transparency to everything has been the most appreciative, and feeling her genuine support to me as if I’m an actual person rather than just another “patient” means so much in a country where sometimes it can be so hard to feel seen/acknowledged and listened to by doctors, I would recommend her completely!!

Dr. Purcott took the time needed to assess all my issues and came up with a well thought out plan. She continues to try different options and to make sure that I get the best care possible and won't stop until I am satisfied. Her staff is very welcoming and very attentive also. They are alway happy and love to work with her. It shows! I would highly recommend her and her staff!

Dr. Purcott and staff made my experience comfortable. The doctor is warm and spunky and she invites questions/discussions regarding my health. She is very knowledgeable not only on clinical care, but also the insurance process and made sure I wouldn’t have any issues with coverage. I feel confidant entrusting my care to dr. Purcott.

Dr.Purcott is one of the few remaining providers that listens, trusts her patients knowledge of their own bodies and guides them to get answers they need and to validate concerns. She asks questions and doesn’t try to “know more than you”… she is personable and warm and makes you feel comfortable. Grateful for her and Ceci, her nurse. She is a patient focused partner to Dr.Purcott and they make an amazing team. I looked for her and found her new practice and would recommend her to anyone that asked me for a good doctor.

Dr. Purcott is a major step above all other gynecologists. She’s extremely caring, and takes the time to listen to your needs! I am extremely thankful I am able to be under her care!

Dr. Kari is an excellent doctor. She is sincerely concerned about the health of her patients and she communicates with them as if they are members of her own family. She is aware of the needs and concerns of both her young AND old patients..

Dr. Purcott is the most empathetic OB/GYN I have ever had. She listened to me and fixed the issue! She actually FIXED it! She has a sense of humor and tries her very best to make you as comfortable as she can. I really cannot say enough about her. Note: As of Oct 3, 2022 she is with Pacific View OB/GYN in Carlsbad off El Camino Real.

I found Dr. Purcott during such a hard time in my life. I was 10 months postpartum and had been living in this pandemic blur and I could no longer see all my sufferings because of the neglect of doctors before her. I was in bad shape and every doctor before her wrote me off, saying it was just postpartum issues and mental health issues. But really I was suffering from an undiagnosed pubis fracture and untreated pelvic organ prolapse that became severely infected and I was later rushed into emergency surgery with UCSD. Sometimes you can’t help who you work for and during that time she was working for Palomar and they did me no favors postpartum while trying to heal from an undiagnosed pubis fracture and untreated pelvic prolapse & raise my first born son. I often heard - idk where your pain is coming from. You shouldn’t have any. Anyways, Dr. Purcott help me find my voice and fight for myself and my health. Shame on Palomar. Thank you for all your love and support Dr. Purcott!!!

During my first pregnancy, I was having bleeding in the first trimester and as a first time mom was extremely concerned about it. After coming to her office twice to try to find the reason for the bleeding and/or find anything on ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy, I was waiting in the room with the nurse only to hear her loudly bad mouthing me and my concerns to the entire office including the waiting room. She kept loudly screaming, “I don’t know what she wants from me- she’ll either miscarry or not. Nothing I can do!” The nurse was horrified. When she left the room to explain to to the doctor that I could HEAR her, the doctor came into the room apologizing and embarrassed saying “she thought I was on the phone”. So...only cool to badmouth a patient when she can’t hear you. During her apology session she offered me something to “help the miscarriage along”. Needless to say I walked out and have a healthy 5 year old today.

She was so nice from the very beginning. Made me feel comfortable and listened to me ramble on. She treated me like a person instead of a patient which is important to me.

She made me feel like we were best friends from the moment she walked in the door! She listened to all my concerns, gave great feedback, and was very proactive about treatment.
