Dr. Kari Nelson, MD

Dr Nelson is the epitome of a professional doctor . Her bedside manner was top notch . She was very easy to reach if I had any questions about my procedure and she was very communicative and realistic .about my expectations. Her follow up care post procedure was smooth and seamless with all my questions and concerns answered appropriately. I would highly recommend Dr Nelson for any radiology procedure or vascular procedures which is what I had .

I received a procedure from Dr. Nelson to address a blocked ureter. I received no communication beforehand from Dr. Nelson, except directly prior to the surgery lying on the gurney, in pain, scared, and drugged. This was a scheduled surgery, and they had a full day prior to communicate properly with me or my wife beforehand. Post surgery, neither my wife nor I received a visit from the Doctor; I was told by a urologist that the procedure was not a complete success; but he wouldn't answer further questions either. The printout I received upon discharge said under the heading 'What care is needed at home?' that I should 'Ask your doctor what you need to do when you get home' except when I called the Dr. Nelson's office, they wouldn't speak with me, and said my PCP (unreachable) had to call them in order to get basic care instructions and help with an urgent leaking dressing issue; or go sit in the ER again. I felt like a discarded piece of meat. Unacceptable standard of care.

Dr. Nelson is competent and caring; the best of both worlds in what a patient looks for from a physician. My surgery was effective and I had an easy recovery thanks to Dr. Nelson and her team. I trusted her capabilities and her concern 100%. I would highly recommend her if you want a physician with expertise, competence, and compassion.

My daughter loves her. I wish all doctors were like her.
