Dr. Karen Welch, MD

Dr. Welch is very trustworthy, responsible, skillful and kind. My mom is a patient of hers. Every time we visited her, she always asked us whether we need anything else besides the main purpose of the visit. During my mom's annual wellness exam, when she asked my mom again and again whether my mom had any questions or concerns, my mom pointed to an area since the skin was darker. Dr. Welch examined it and referred us to a specialist immediately and told us we need to take action urgently. With that, my mom was found to have a decease in time and got cured. It is again Dr. Welch who finds my mom's heart problem that we don't know. Dr. Welch is very cautious when prescribing medicines. Each time she thinks my mom needs to change the dose of the medicine or the name of the medicine, she tells us the benefits and side effects on the medicine. Dr. Welch is wonderful and we feel fortunate to have her as my mom's family doctor.

I chose Dr. Welch, because I was looking for somebody certified for functional medicine. I had a collection of minor symptoms - food intolerances, low energy, joint pain, depression, etc. Dr. Welch spent a lot of time listening and requested a variety of tests. One test revealed a genetic mutation that might have been a factor in my symptoms. A referral to a physical therapist resulted in some suggested exercises that helped me.

This Doctor allowed me to go through 2 weeks of cold turkey withdrawals from Xannax. This could have caused a stroke, leading to possile paralysis or even death. Thanks Doc. It was an experience I will never forget.
