Thoughtful, Thorough
Found her intake to be professional, thorough and thoughtful. Showed empathy with confirming comments on the issues I've dealt with and the challenges that go with them. Affirmed what I'm doing right to help with my mental health and worked with me as a partner in deciding adjustments to my medications to help me continue to improve my mental health.

Dr. Valdez is well prepared, attentive, and explains her diagnosis. I look forward to her intuition and office manner. She is a very fine physician.

Impossible to contact.
Dr Valdez is impossible to contact. No response to emails, or phone messages. She changed my moms medication, which didn’t work out, and I was unable to reach her. Actually there have been several times she was unreachable. Sometimes I’ve called the office and there was no answer! BSW health system is aware of this and has done nothing about it. If they’re too overwhelmed with patients, then stop taking them…but I suppose that would mean less money. Save yourself the hassle and seek care elsewhere.

After all the Wonderful Raving reviews, I thought I had found someone who would listen and help me with trauma, anxiety and depression. I spent nearly an hour literally baring my soul, but when I mentioned I enjoy an adult beverage each evening, her kindness turned abruptly to a bizarre barrage of questions. Can I go to the grocery store? Can I cook meals? Can I take care of my household? Do I ever have spurts of energy [I wish]? She asked if I had told my family doctor and I said "No" while not really understanding what she was talking about. Then she said she would not help me because I need to go to rehab!! She said alcohol and mental health medications cancel out each other. She gave me a list of rehab facilities and said she was sending this information to my doctor. I was quickly excused from her presence. Talk about adding to TRAUMA! Later called my family doctor who had the information from her. I've seen my GP for over 20 years and the man knows me well. I shared my experi
