I recently returned to Dr. Karen Sept, a specialist in osteopathic manipulative therapy, for treatment of chronic low back pain. Dr. Sept was previously helpful in treating me for migraine headaches and neck pain. As a physician myself, I know that low back pain can be difficult to diagnose and treat. Dr. Sept's evaluation was very thorough, with history, physical examination for diagnosis and treatment in one visit. She recommended trying a small heel lift. Since I was treated, I have been able to travel and work around the house with significantly less pain. I really appreciate Dr. Sept's comprehensive and holistic approach. Her office in Kailua is convenient with easy parking. I highly recommend Dr. Sept to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate osteopathic physician with focus on manipulative therapy.

Wonderful experience! I took my 5 month old to Dr. Sept after having researched a provider who is skilled in cranial sacral therapy (CST). I wanted a second opinion on my daughter's tongue tie, as I read that CST can help release tension and serve as a holistic alternative to having a tongue tie released. My baby was also have some sleep disturbances, which I believe were also related to tension. Before making an appointment with her, I watched the video on her website and it helped me to understand how CST is performed. Our appointment with Dr. Sept was wonderful. Her office is very cozy and made me feel at ease. She was very professional, thorough, and gentle. She took her time to collect a full history and made sure she understood my concerns. She told me I don't have to worry any further about my baby's tongue-tie, which was so relieving to hear! My baby's sleep has greatly improved since our visit and she is able to move her head more freely as well. I'm so thankful for Dr. Sept!

Yesterday I went to see Dr. Sept because I was in a car accident a week ago and a friend said “I think Dr. Sept can help you”. I was reared ended and had been suffering headache and shoulder/neck stiffness. Dr. Sept gently adjusted my body for about hour and a half after taking a very thorough history. This morning the stiffness is gone and she also worked my other issues without any hesitation. She dealt with my sciatica and my left shoulder which I could not lift up since my left breast cancer treatment. These symptoms are also gone. I thought I would live with these symptoms forever. My first visit with her was amazingly worth the time and $$. I will continue to see Dr. Sept; she is very knowledgeable and helpful in curing your ailments. Everyone should consult Dr. Sept. She is amazing! Professional and caring.

Dr. Sept is the most effective, thorough, and truly osteopathic physician. A visit with her is worth several hours of travel. She has expertise in treating babies and adults and her treatments leave a person reliably better, frequently truly well. Instead of covering up a person's symptoms, she will get to the root of the problem and work with the patient to resolve it. She has helped me and my children profoundly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sept.
