Dr Lish and her staff are unfriendly and narcissistic She spends very little time examining you and more time trying to sell you her products. Also, I was told my insurance covered my visit to my surprise I get a bill for over $300 for a five minute visit which she did nothing I don’t think her staff knows how to accommodate insurance issues they will just send you a bill, hoping to get the money that’s what it boils down to with her. I would never recommend going to her. There are many better dermatologist in the area.

Unproffessional
The receptionist Christina Perine booked my sons appt. After she booked my sons appt. she asked me if my son was vaccinated. I said to her-why are you asking me this? This is not a state requirement. Afterwards she said," I'm canceling your sons appt. Dr.Karen Lish wants to know every patient vaccination status." I was appalled. Then- Christina told me that I have to wait for Dr.Lish to contact me in order to receive my children's file. I will NEVER step foot in that office again.

Dr Lish talks more than she listens. My visit was regarding a new rash and I know it was ringworm (a fungus not associated with a worm) because a kitten I took in was diagnosed with ringworm at the vet. Any dermatologist who is a professional would have taken a scraping, and looked at it under a microscope to actually determine the rash. Dr LISH DID NOT. Instead she pronounced it to be excema, despite the coincidence to the new cat and exact matches to researched photos of ringworm online. She also prescribed a medication in a tiny quantity, WITHOUT a refill, which leads me to believe she'll require a second revenue generating visit. NEVER GOING HERE Again! Terrible bedside manner.

the office is extremely sterile & COVID compliant. patient is screened by phone from parking lot before entering office. Hand sanitizer is readily available. Patient must wear mask at all times. I felt very safe. Dr Lish diagnosed the problem, prescribed treatment, went for follow up. It worked! very satisfied

Had a very bad experience . This was my first visit to her after the visit I called at least 7 times as i was unable to get medication she prescribed. My insurance company Called them 3 times requesting them to send medication approval request , they wanted the doctor to request for approval however she bluntly says to insurance company and to me that they have no time to put such request for their customer. ANd the receptionist Christine is rude and will not let you speak to doctor even when there is emergency Also this doctor will force you to get your medication from some unknown pharmacy in spite of my request for CVS pharmacy near my house she sends a request to some pharmacy far away and tell me they will deliver for free . Then ask me to pay for cream when my insurance covers it ... looks LIKE SHE GETS COMMISSION FROM THE PHARMACY Horrible doctor Request all other patient who have got such experience to expose this doctor... Very bad

Dr Lish has been treating three generations of my family for close to 20 years. Our loyalty to her practice is due entirely to the high quality medical care she provides. Through the years I have seen her for a number of issues, both medical and cosmetic. Dr Lish has that rare combination of deep clinical knowledge, great communication skill and sincere compassion towards her patients.

I had an appointment on 10/03/2018 at 2:30 PM to see Dr. Karen Lish whose Office is located at 301 Franklin Ave. Hewlett, NY. After I got there at 2:20PM and filled out different forms I waited 40 minutes to be taken to the the examination room where I was til to wait for the doctor who did not come for another 20 minuets. I went to the front desk and asked why I had to wait for a total of one hour. I was told that the doctor was backed up I was next and I left.

This is probably a good office if you're interested in the cosmetic side of dermatology. A full body check for skin cancer was not even mentioned. And there seemed to be no choice to not buy her expensive products. Will not be going back.

Made an apt for skin check, only to arrive early , fill out paperwork and then be told she doesn't see skin checks at night. I was not informed when making the apt, which the staff wouldn't believe, and they wouldn't accommodate for their error. Would not return to an office that is so unaccommodating.

Dr. Lish recommended a skin care regimen and I loved all of the products. I used to use expensive department store brands and after 2 months my skin is so much better than it ever was. I have recommended Dr. Lish to my friends and family (she even found a cancer on my best friend!)

Dr. Lish was friendly and made me feel comfortable. She clearly was knowledgable and extremely competent. She explained my diagnosis and treatment options. A rash I had for 1 1/2 years fully resolved in less than 2 weeks.

Dr. Lish gives a minimal explanation as to what your condition is and then proceeds to sell you a long list of her products that are guaranteed to help when in fact, her treatments are highly ineffective.

She seemed uncertain about what my skin condition was. She also pushed all her own products, which made me feel like she just wanted to make money by selling products. Finally, I found it very annoying that her office does not call in or email in prescriptions to the pharmacy, and I had to waste time giving in the prescription and coming back to pick it up. That is unacceptable in this day and age!!
