My Doctor
This doctor was professional and made me understand what was happening to my body. She understood how worried I am of my inability to take care of things. She has helped me accept my limitations. I have made remarkable improvements that greatly surprised myself an the physical therapists. I trust this doctor completely!

She's unempathic and rude
She talks over me and doesn't like to let me ask questions and actually sighed and stomped her foot when I disagreed with her. She gave me 1 minute to ask questions than never really answered Maybe because I'm in medicaid?

Good Dr for my wife and I
I can't believe the reviews I'm reading are the same Dr I have been seeing. I have Myasthenia Gravis and she has done nothing but help me and my wife who has an inoperable brain tumor. She takes way more time than most and has questioned some of our meds as to strength and frequency. After bringing that concern to out PCP Dr we got some changes made that help a lot. Never get a bad word from and I'm sorry others felt neglected.

I also found Dr. LeCompte to be condescending and arrogant. She is not considerate of my concerns and treatment options. I offered to pay her 200 dollars for a block of time for her to read brief research abstract, alternative medicine. She pushed my online message back to me without comment. On more than one occasion she wrote the wrong prescription. Costing me over 100$. A Parkinson's symptom was brought to her attention at two or more appointments. I declined the medicine she was pressing me to take. I finally agreed despite my understanding reading product description that is was not the solution. Trying that medicine cost me 400$. I have had Parkinson's for ten years. I require a higher dose of carbidopa levodopa than what is prescribed for a first year patient. She refuses to write a prescription. At the last appointment she said she did not think she could help me further.

She was condescending and arrogant. Three years previously, I had been diagnosed by a specialist with higher qualifications than Dr. LeComte’s. Instead of continuing with the treatment, that has tremendously improved my quality of life, she informed me that I just “thought” the medicine was helping me. (By the way. It isn’t a narcotic.) It was a horrible experience. Especially since my disease is so rare that it took 20 years to get a diagnosis. After years of suffering without treatment, I had finally been given medication that gave me strength to do more daily tasks. This woman decided, on my first visit, to try to rewrite reality. I had hoped to have a qualified neurologist in my hometown, but I guess that’s not going to happen just yet. Thankfully, my retired specialist had already given me a referral to a good neurologist in a different town. I was just hoping to not have to travel for care. Maybe one day? One can hope!

She was recommended to me by a very good Dr that I have in Cruces, and she is an excellent Dr. She took enough time with me to get the whole picture,, was very knowledgeable, and was able to speak in terms that I could understand. I believe that she cares about me and my condition.

Dr. Karen Lecomte told me my TN headaches were all in my head (all that medical school and you located... the head). When I told her one of the medications she put me on (a seizure medication ffs) was working but I needed a higher dose, she refused, instead put me on a med that made me fall asleep behind the wheel, and accused me of only wanting the med that worked because it had some "nice weight loss side effects." Woman, I was training for a marathon. Running 50miles/week also has nice weight loss side effects. She should try it. Now I need a microvascular decompression 8 years later and her BS just delayed the inevitable. She told me "it might be a tumor, might be MS" right before I had to leave for work (who taught this woman bedside manner?), and accused me of drug seeking behavior when I asked for an increase in seizure medication. Rarely has the name Karen fit someone so perfectly.

Visited this doctor when she practiced in NYS. I had recently been diagnosed with MS. Her attitude was dismissive and condescending. Her staff set me up for an MRI, told me they got it preapproved by my insurance, but they actually didn't, so I was stuck with the bill. She didn't explain treatment options, but sent me home with dvds and binders on three meds currently being used with instructions to "pick one " She made a horrible, scary time in my life much worse with her uncaring demeanor.

Dr, Lecomte was not very receptive to my concerns or questions during the appointment. She seemed to already have preconceived notions about my condition and did not take the time to process the information I was giving her. I would not recommend her to other patients.
