Dr. Karen Knapp, MD

I've been a patient for over 25 years. she delivered both my children and helped me through a loss. love her but since the office has been taken over by HCA it is horrible. I had an appt w/ her a month ago. she prescribed a med. after I left I realized it required prior authorization. she has still not submitted it. her nurse won't respond to my calls, the only people i can speak to are schedulers. was promised it would be done yesterday, it wasn't. even the optom prior auth group called and wasn't able to speak with anyone. I've been in tears realizing I may have to switch to a provider that has time for me.

Dr. Knapp has been my obgyn for well over 30 years. I will always remember my first appointment with her. It was the first (only) time I ever had a doctor take me into their office prior to an examination to address any questions or concerns I might have. She was warm, so easy to talk to and the whole experience was exceptional. For what it's worth, she could have the sun, moon and any two planets of her choice. I rest my case.

Karen Knapp, MD is an outstanding physician who takes the time to listen to patients and to treat them as a whole person. In our busy world and with the nature of medical practice today, it's difficult to a physician who can practice efficiently and effectively. She is legendary for her ability to help her patients manage health concerns and for her follow-through and follow-up.

My daughter Ava, was born 27 years ago at St. Mary's Hospital. Dr. Knapp was my ob-gyn for the entire pregnancy, labor, delivery and post partum stages. I recall her calm, warmth and humor during the entire process.

Was a patient for the first 4 to 5 months of my pregnancy. I develop issues with my sciatic nerve and unable to bend down if I dropped something or even just to sit down. Dr. Knapp didn't seem to take any measures to help me. I just felt I was being treated differently as I was a single obese black mom to be and my pregnancy didn't matter. My best friend was pregnant as well and the father attended the appointments on a regular. Dr. Knapp's treatment for her pregnancy was quite different compared to mine. I switched my care to another practice and had a successful birth. Love my new Doctor.

Dr. Knapp is a wonderful doctor, probably the best I've ever seen (out of any doctor PCP, ortho, etc.) Past experiences have made me anxious about seeing the gyno, Dr. Knapp was patient, listened to my concerns and made me feel extremely comfortable. I love that she will use a mirror to let you watch while she explains everything she's doing. She was attentive, kind, and efficient. I would recommend Dr. Knapp to absolutely anyone. I felt at ease here and like Dr. Knapp cared about me. Another plus was that check in was quick and easy and I barely waited before I was seen.

First visit for an annual check up with Dr. Knapp was good - my following visits were very rushed and I got the feeling I was annoying her. Most recently saw Dr. Knapp for an issue that caused me a good deal of concern; however, my concerns were immediately dismissed and she seemed to have little interest in further investigating the root of the problem. I felt as though she was talking down to me and some of her comments came across as super condescending. I understand doctors are incredibly busy, but I don't think any patient should have to leave an office feeling that way. I have no doubt that Dr. Knapp is an incredibly competent physician, but if bedside manner matters to you - maybe seek care elsewhere.

She isn’t a good doctor . I didn’t feel like she listened to my concerns . She seemed rushed and treated me like I was bothering her . Find someone else if you like to be heard .

Dr. Knapp is fantastic. She listens carefully, gives straightforward answers, and ensures I'm making informed decisions about my health. I appreciate her no-nonsense approach and the time she takes in each visit. Her team is great, too; they clearly like their work and each other. I highly recommend Dr. Knapp.

Dr Knapp has been my ob/gyn for over 20 years. Every experience I've had with her has been great. She is personable and professional. She answers all my questions and if she does not know the answer, she will find out. She gives advise when asked and treats me like family.

Dr. Knapp is one of a kind. Exactly the type of doctor you want when dealing with the many personal health issues that women have. She listens, she advises, and she takes her time with you. I trust her completely. She has been my advocate in several health matters (including with insurance companies) and I am so glad to have her support and expertise on my side. I have been her patient for many, many years and I recommend her all the time to women, young and old.

Dr Knapp is personable and cares for her patients. I have been her patient for over 20 years and she makes it a point to get to know you and takes her time with each patient to ensure all questions or concerns are addressed.

I had my annual check up, and like usual it went very well. Dr Knapp always makes me feel very comfortable and when I leave I always feel like I had an excellent exam. She always listens to your concerns and is very caring. She is the only doctor I see that I actual feel like I am visiting a friend. I look forward to seeing her even if it's mainly once a year. I have been her patient for way over 20 years.

Dr. Knapp is very easy to talk to and very candid about medical issues. Issues are addressed directly and effectively.

Dr, Knapp is a great doctor and takes her time with you and not long wait times. She is the doctor to see if you want the personel touch with your appointment. She is very concerned about her patients!!!
