His staff is wonderful and easy to work with. He is knowledgable and does answer my questions. My biggest issue is I always have to wait a minimum of one hour and usually 2-3 hours. His staff says he runs late due to his lectures for the school being so long but if they know that then they shouldn’t be scheduling patients for the first hour at least. I have many health issues and waiting is extremely painful for me. It also is a long wait to get onto his surgery schedule. I was told by him it is because they (UT Southwestern Medical Center) only give him 6 slots a week for surgeries. I needed 4 eye surgeries and I’ve been seeing him since last October and have only had 2 so far. The other 2 (one scheduled for April which obviously got cancelled due to Covid-19). I have no idea when I can see him again to reschedule that one and then how long to get the 4th one done. I didn’t realize each surgery would require apx 4 follow up visits as well. In other words lots of wasted time waiting.

I have seen Dr. Kooner for over 5 years. He is very serious about helping his patients protect their vision. Sometimes this includes some very candid recommendations about lifestyle and treatment compliance that may be difficult to hear, but it is clear to him that it's all about protecting his patient's vision.
