Dr. Kamal Nagpal, MD

It seems to me, I had doctors come into my room at the hospital, say a few words about something, and send a bill to the insurance company. I had a catheter inserted in the hospital after surgery. A nurse removed it (for some reason) then it was reinserted? After two weeks I had an appointment to go see him to have it removed. He would not do it. He said, 'I have to be 100% sure you are healed' he insisted I have a CT scan which would have taken another two weeks. After I consulted with several other doctors, they ALL agreed it should be removed NOW before I got an infection. So I did, and I was fine. I believe Dr. Nagpal, who refused to discuss this with me in our office visit did not care about my welfare, just another patient at closing time. I have a medical family and have been in the medical field for over 25 years myself. I would recommend Dr. Nagpal to my worse enemy.

Dr Nagpal was very through in diagnosing the issue I was have with my enlarged prostate. We worked through all the necessary steps to determine the best treatment plan for my situation. He did not try to rush my situation with unnecessary procedures. He took every step to determine a proper procedures had been evaluated before taking the next step. As a result I had to have a TRUP procedure done

I was referred to Dr Nagpal by my PCP. Over the course of several meetings and tests, Dr Nagpal recommended a prostate procedure known as Aquablation. After recovering from procedure I have been pleased with the outcome and how it has improved my life.

Please take note of the following feedback on Urology of Virginia: The practice is quite large and includes a call center with Medical Assistants (MAs). Instead of making appointments, the MAs leave a message in your chart for a provider to call you back regarding your concerns. This process often results in long wait times of at least 30 minutes or more. As a patient, I don't feel that my concerns and health issues are prioritized, which is concerning. When a provider, usually a nurse, calls me back, they often have to consult with the doctor and call me back again, leading to delays of several days. Once my current issues are addressed, I plan to transfer to another practice.

Dr Nagpal's skills and care for his patient is outstanding. Having been a patient for over a year following a difficult but successful surgery has made me appreciate his abilities and attentiveness to detail. Outstanding Dr and surgeon.

He wanted me to get a biopsy. Let the girl take you up to the front to schedule. Girl takes my up, everyone there looks at each other like it was the first time. They finally agreed that the surgery center would call to set the appt. Waited a "WHOLE WEEK", no one called, so I called back. They conneected me to the Surgery Center, and they had no correspontence from the office to schedule. They had no idea who I was. Scheduled a biopsy date. Looked at the paperwork that the office gave me, and it stated that I need to go to get a unine test 10 days prior to the biopsy that they never told me. Called the office again, they had no idea who I was. At that point, I knew I needed to cancel and find another urologist. He might be good, but if he lost his "recorder" that he talksinto instead of you, he'd be lost. This doctor never talks to you, talks to some recorder and makes you "wait" until he finishes. Rude, and not personable. Also, when I had to pay the "copay", the girrl in the front, was eating two fried burritos and took my credit card and gave it back with greast stains. Outrageous, so, I canceled everything and found ahother Urologist.

Saw the doctor 45 minutes after appointment time

Dr. Nagpal was curt and rude and could not keep his nose out of his phone long enough to explain things to my 87 year old father and didn't even have the courtesy to pay attention long enough to answer my questions. Tried to make a follow up appt because office staff left for the the day and could only get an overseas operator that was condescending. Please find another office/dr if you want to be treated like a person and not a number. Would not recommend for my pets let alone my parent.

First off, I can highly recommend Dr.Kamal Nagpal, M.D. He is a highly qualified and caring Doctor and an exceptional surgeon, he takes all the time needed to explain things to me, and I appreciate that. He employs a qualified staff which is a plus, and the wait times are acceptable. Dr. Nagpal has numerous convenient locations that are clean and nicely appointed. Overall, I am pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Nagpal and his staff.

I'm very thankful that I was referred Arizona Urology Specialists by my primary care physician, and that Dr Nagpal is my Urologist. I had some swelling that required surgery. His skill sped my recovery and I greatly appreciate his skill. He has a direct and professional manner. He is highly personable, and is surrounded by a terrific staff too. I highly recommend Dr. Nagpal.

Fortunate enough to meet him at hospital 2 years ago for kidney stone episode. Turned into 2 more the next year. Last one required sonic treatment. Procedure went according to plan. With His help I changed major life style habits and have been stone free 2 years. My overall heath has also approved. He is a good mechanic and has an excellent bed side manor. Nice to have a doctor with those qualities and a sense of humor. Thank you Dr. Nagpal!!

I appreciate Dr Nagpal’s very professional approach to my examinations and discussion of the possible treatments. I was feeling very anxious and stressed and he made a point of spending a LOT of time answering my questions and easing my concerns. He is also very personal and capable!

Dr. Nagpal, who in addition to being an MD is also a PhD, is obviously highly skilled and he is also very thorough. His personal examination as a urology specialist found something which was not discovered by my excellent primary care physician. You can have a great primary care doc, but a urology specialist may still find something that was missed. Dr. Nagpal's manner was kind and compassionate while also completely frank. For me the news was good, and he was obviously pleased. Great doctor!

I am so grateful that I ended up in the care of Dr. Nagpal. He is everything that you could hope for in a physician/surgeon. He is brilliant, confident, and kind. Since he took the time to explain the steps of my procedure, and answered all my questions, I was completely relaxed going into surgery.

Dr. Nagpal was very easy to talk to and I felt very relaxed and comfortable discussing any concerns I had before and after my procedure.
