That nurse AKA office manager of his
I love the provider just took about a hour to see him. The front desk was okay. Thaila was very helpful however the other girl looked annoyed along with Kamini the nurse at that’s what I was told she was. There was a young girl training I believe and poor thing was so scared of dr Patel nurse AKA office manager you could see it on her face while she was getting my vitals. If it wasn’t for my pulmonary issues I wouldn’t come back to this place. Staff is rude , they say they have a nurse but really it is dr Patel wife. If you want to wait a hour while having shortness of breathe this is your place

Refused to authorize my cpap and supplies.
Very bad experience. I begged Dr. Patel for over a year to contact my insurance company for an authorization for my cpap and supplies. I went for over a year with no supplies for my cpap, then when my cpap stopped working, it took 8 months to get a new one. The Dr. STILL would not contact the insurance company for a preapproval and got furious with me when I requested he contact the insurance company.

This is what you get when you have a doctor that does not want to deal with patients. Dr. Patel spend the entire visit with his back to me writing on the computer. At the end of the visit, he hardly look at me. He should have been a researcher or a radiologist.

Would not accept that I did not want or need a sleep study. Finally convinced him to take chest x-rays but when I called about the result his staff said they would not discuss that until I had a sleep study.

My son had a scheduled appointment for 1:15 pm at 1:50 pm we were call back, blood pressure, weight etc taken. Then put in a very small room (closet size). 2:50 pm and still not seen by doctor. 3:15 pm I asked how much longer was told you are next but we have two patients before you. We left because we had another appointment at 3:45 pm in Austin. Told receptionist reschedule us and call me that was 4 months ago and still have heard from them but they charged my insurance

I was seen by Dr. Patel in April. I feel certain that he is a fine doctor, but his staff would benefit greatly by a few in services on friendliness. This seems so basic, but they either didn't care, lacked in social skills or were overwhelmed. I called today to cancel my July 1st appointment and talked to a VERY nice lady (I think her name is Heather). Possibly she could teach the others! I know I can find another good Pulmonologist who has a friendly staff. This is very important to me and this office staff didn't make the cut.

Dr. Patel was very thorough. He accepted my decision (to not take drugs or invasive action) once all test results were explained to me. (I am 72 with no desire to prolong my life at the expense of drug potential side effects.) He listened tomy concerns and welcomed me to come back at any time in the future if I want to consult with him or feel the need for retesting ...PFT...In the future. (Not many MDs today really listen to the elderly today!)

HE is a very good physician but has a terrible staff, so very hard to get answers, call backs and they just don’t follow through. Very disappointing , nothing has changed, in over a year or so.

I went to Dr. Patel for a consult on a Pulmonary Function test result. He was very detail in his explanation to me on the test results and assured me they were normal results for a woman my age. I forgot to ask him if I should continue my steroid inhaler and called his office. To my surprise that evening he called me himself to discuss. This is a GREAT doctor!

In 2013 I was extremely ill when I was brought into the Seton Kyle emergency room. 7 Days in ICU, in a coma for five days. Dr. Patel literally saved my life. He is a truly remarkable MD. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Patel to any family member or loved one. He is truly a life saver who genuinely cares about each and every patient he sees. Thank you!!

My cardiologist referred me to Dr. Patel. I had been referred first to the physician who provided care in in the hospital. That physician did not seem careful or thorough and my waiting time for the appointment was 4 and 1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment. Dr. Patel was thorough and careful. I would still be with Dr. Patel had we not had to move to Ft. Worth to an Assisted Living facility for care for my husband that also provided an Independent Living Arrangement for me.
