I had gallbladder surgery with another surgeon , many days after I told the surgeon I was in pain and it was unbearable . The other surgeon kept telling me ,”I was going to be ok everything is normal “. Long story short I had a bile leaking from surgery . I was taken to Northside hospital where Dr Talapaneni was on call and she rushed in to do emergency surgery on me . If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be here today . She was was absolutely the best !

Dr Talapaneni encompasses ALL the qualities you want in you in your doctor. Thanks to her and her staff for their care, empathy and attention to detail.

So far she has been very helpful and informative about my situation. I will have to give her time to learn me and me to learn her.

Dr. Talapaneni had great bedside manner and she listened to my issues, not dismissing any if my complaints. She is thoughtful.

AVOID: After explaining to her what I thought my issue was she got smug with me and said "this is what I do". She misdiagnosed me after taking only 15 seconds of her time (verified when I went back to a different doctor in the same office and he concluded what I suspected was the issue). Her arrogance caused months of additional issues and costs.

neither the doctor or her assistants bother to return calls regarding important requested by me. Three weeks ,faxed over information, four messages left by my wife or myself ,still no return phone call. This doctor should go work on animals that cant ask her questions.

Dr. Talapaneni was one of the best doctors I've seen in a while. She explained my condition and went through the steps needed to diagnose my symptoms to put together a plan for treatment. She is very professional and knowledgeable.

She was pleasant, patient, professional, sympathetic, thorough and knowledgeable. She asked the appropriate questions and seemed to understand my all that I was saying to her. She gave me a sense of confidence that she understood my symptoms and that she was going to do her best to help to relieve my problems. I have confidence in her and I will recommend her at anytime to others. She has a good ear.

Very friendly and informative doctor.Only seen her once, but was impressed and pleased at the time she took and review of my medical records and listening to me. Dr. Talapaneni will be my new gastroenterologist.

Waited in the waiting room for over an hour and then about another 1/2 hour in exam room. When the Dr. finally came in she rushed our conversation (already after 5 so I'm sure why). I couldn't hardly understand her especially since she was rushing. It was time for my colonoscopy but I had been hurting on my side for months. My regular gastro couldn't see me for about 6 weeks. Any way, Dr. Talapaneni ordered an ultra sound of my side to check the gallbladder and scheduled a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Dr. T said the gallbladder was fine. The day of the other procedures she was an hour late to the operating room and didn't say a word to me. I had to call her to get the results a week later. My experience with Dr. T has not been favorable and I'm usually pretty easy to get along with. She is egotistic and I had to get a second opinion on the gallblader because I kept hurting. Come to find out I have multiple gallstones. Wouldn't recommend this doctor

Upon her entrance into the examination room was introduced herself to my son and I. Very professional and my son felt more at ease after the visit.

I had to wait an hour and a half for this doctor for my first appointment! She came in the room unapologetic for keeping me waiting, arrogant and condescending and never look at the portal for my test results. she rushed me and told me I did not have diverticulitis, even though my CT scan showed I did (but she refused to look at it. I asked her what she was basing her diagnosis on, since she didn't look at any of my records, and she said "I JUST KNOW"! what arrogance and unprofessional ism! she then told me I had to take a bunch of tests!! I filed a complaint against her. This person was grossly negligent and completely unprofessional. Skip this doc if you really want help!!

She cares about her patients. She will answer any questions I have & if she doesn’t know an answer she will tell me. Has no problem referring you you to a surgeon that specializes in your problem.
