Dr. Jyoti Rao, MD

Dr Rao was highly professional and a very good listener. I have been her patient and I would recommend her any day. She guides you and prepares a treatment plan taking your situation into account. She is straightforward and has a no nonsense approach which I really like about Dr Rao. Her staff is also friendly.

Dr. Rao is a very good listener, compassionate and has a thorough approach to patient care. I feel she takes time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained complex medical information clearly. I thing I like about her is she developed a personalized treatment plan that effectively addressed my digestive issues. I felt completely at ease throughout the entire process, and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking expert GI care.

Extremely unprofessional, she had me do blood work and urine screen but the only way I found out I had a UT infection is when I went to pharmacy for a different prescription, that was two weeks after the fact. She is RUDE, CONDESCENDING AND DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HER PATIENTS WHICH SHE TREATS CATTLE. ALL SHE NEEDS IS A CATTLE PROD TO GET THEM OUT SOONER. THIS is just the tip of the iceberg. Don't waste your time on this QUACK.

She has been the only gastro Dr. That has told me with Celiac Sprue we don't absorb Iron or B-12 and calcium.. Others have said calcium only.

Dr. Rao discovered cancer in my esophagus and quickly had me connected to a surgeon and oncologist within a week. She also had me scheduled with a specialist to remove the tumor with an EGD. Very proactive and actual concern for me as a patient.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Rao’s after being confirmed with a new disease. She is in her 70s so with this being a new diagnosis, she was very nervous and scared. Dr. Rao did nothing to ease her worries; she was brash, wouldn’t listen, dismissive, and once her insurance didn’t cover the only medication Dr. Rao insisted she needed, she informed my mother in the rudest way that she wasn’t her doctor and walked out the room with my mother distraught. This is NO WAY to treat any patient. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. Please heed this warning if you are considering her.

GREAT! She was friendly and found the root of my concern. She is very thorough and will run tests to find out what is going on. Thank you Dr Rao!! The staff was awesome. Even though I was still not feeling well, they made me smile and we even had a few laughs. Thank you to her MA, who scheduled my appointments and made sure I knew where to go for labs and other tests. Front desk was good, too. Thank you to her whole staff. You all rock!!I definitely do not agree with these bad reviews. Yes, she can be quick, but she knows what she is doing. Incredibly thorough.

I waited for 45 minutes then to be seen by a closed minded Dr Rao. Few minutes into out conversation I got up and walked out and told her this is clear that this would not be a good fit.
