I was just dropped from seeing her re. reschedule
After seeing Dr. Mandava for many years, she was great except for the last couple of years. Maybe it’s good that she just dropped me because she seemed rushed & a bit preoccupied. Just prescribed pills. She claimed that I changed & canceled appts. often. I canceled once because I got sick the DAY before and they tried to charge me for it. I REALLY don’t believe that I changed appts. very much at ALL.I only saw her about twice a year.Making the appointments 6 months ahead, there’s a LOT that happens in that time. Who knows EXACTLY what they’ll be doing in 6 months. I think she has taken on too many patients.

She's the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Dr. Mandava is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have struggled with my mental health for my entire life and have worked with other psychiatrists in the past. Dr. Mandava takes the time to hear me, help me understand what is happening, and always has very helpful insights about small dietary changes or supplements that have made a huge difference in the long run. I am on less medication than I ever have been and I feel the best I ever have. Beyond grateful for her role in my overall wellness.

Great psychiatrist
I have been seeing Dr. Mandava for over 3 years and love her. Very knowledgeable about mental health and medications. I've had a large stressor the past few months and she really cares about how I'm doing and asks about how I'm feeling and handling things and doesn't ask to just rate depression or anxiety or other vague questions

not very helpful
doesn't really listen to anything, and thinks everyone is just a pill seeker. told her many times how hard i was struggling, i've been out here drowning for my entire life and finally worked up the courage to seek help, only to be made to feel guilty and ashamed for seeking treatment. rushed ~15 minute appointment every 2-3 months to be mostly ignored and sent away with totally ineffective medication

Wonderful Doctor
Dr Mandava is wonderful! She’s listens well and follows up on any of your concerns at next appointment. I have referred many people to her and they all love her too. The front desk is one of most pleasant I have encountered.

The WORST. I liked her initially but the second I had any issues she dropped me. She had her office staff call me and “suggest” a second opinion. She cherry picks her patients and will dismiss anyone who is too much work. Her beautiful exterior does not make up for her cold ugly interior. It is very evident she wants to just refill prescriptions rather than do any actual work to help someone in a depressive crisis. I would never recommend her to anyone. There are good doctors out there who genuinely care about their patients but she is not one of them.

I have seen Dr Mandava for approximately 15 years. I had seen many psychiatrists who I wouldn’t recommend. She is patient, kind, a good listener and very intelligent. I have never had a problem with her course of treatment that she has recommended to me. If I felt even the slightest bit unsure of something, she has listened to my concerns and has never acted like she was forcing meds or any advice on me. If a patient feels uncomfortable with something, they always have the final decision on their care. I have never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes since she is usually right on time but you don’t ever feel rushed once you get in her office. She recently moved from her St Peter’s location and her practice is now in Chesterfield. I have to drive farther to see her which is not that big of a deal. I would drive much further to see her. She is THAT good! She is very easy to understand and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!

I had been seeing Dr Mandava for over 5 years when she moved practices. After she moved she refused to see me, and told me to find another doctor. She acts like she cares about you as a patient, and then abandons you. In my case she used moving practices as a reason to no longer see me. I don’t buy it as it always seemed that she had a problem with me as a patient. You can feel the judgmental attitude when you go for an appointment. If you want a doctor to help you for half a decade, prescribe you medication, and then leave you high and dry she’s the psychiatrist for you.

The office and doctor were amazing! So professional and polite. Dr. Mandava was so thorough and really listened to my concerns. I am so impressed with how nice the office and staff was. I have gone through some really awful psychiatrists and I think I have finally found “the one”.

Wonderful office staff. Dr Mandava is sometimes hard to get in to see, but so worth the wait. If I have a question, her office staff will get me the answer in less than one day. Staff seems to enjoy their job which out me at ease when I am in a crisis. Dr Mandava herself is very patient and understanding. Has been in psych for many years and her experience is applied to my care. She is ALWAYS running on time and is in the office m-f.
