Dr Brown did a great job listening to all my concerns. At no time did I feel rush and he addressed each concern.

Allcare's billing practices
Telehealth
Patients using Allcare should be aware that if they request an appointment to deal with a preventive care issue, outside of the annual visit then they may be charged for this visit (in my case $133) which will not be reimbursed by your insurance company since there is no diagnosis. Examples of this include:* Asking for a prescription for anti-malarial medication before traveling to a country in which there are known cases of malaria* Talking to a physician (or PA) about how to reduce the risk of getting diabetes if you have not been diagnosed with diabetes. There are countless other examples I could give of preventive health conversations that one might want to have in-between annual visits. While it seems contradictory that a primary care practice that should emphasize the prevention of diseases actually financially penalizes their patients for being proactive, this is unfortunately the case with Allcare and their billing practices.

As a 60-year-old, I finally figured out that I ought to have a primary care physician. Very pleased to have discovered Dr. Brown! I am finding him to be very thorough and knowledgeable and very pleasant at the same time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To anyone reading this, please note that the sole 1 star review is from someone in North Carolina who is talking about a totally different doctor. Ignore it!! Dr. Brown is excellent. He responds to calls as well as postings in the Hopkins MyChart app and his office calls back to see how you are doing. He listens carefully and is very pleasant. I'm a senior with rare health problems and he manages my meds and care well. We have recommended him to many of our friends who are equally happy with him. A big plus is that he is part of the Johns Hopkins healthcare system.

The experience here is quite awful. I went in for my annual physical and preventive visit. They told me they were not aware prior to me showing despite my 1 email and 2 phone calls prior to confirm. They asked me to come in several times for blood work and for additional unwarranted appointments. Dr. Justin Brown is quite terrible. He pulled the old doctor's trick, let me put my stethoscope on you during a covered visit so that its billable.

Dr. Brown is a very caring doctor. He knows exactly what he is talking about and has always been spot on in any diagnosis. The thing that I love about him, is that he takes the time to understand what his patient is going through and listens very well. As a young 22 year old adult male.
