Arrogant and Lacks Empathy
I saw Dr. Bric on recommendation for knee replacement surgery. I'm 75. Despite that I filled out an extensive questionnaire beforehand, Dr. Bric seemed completely unfamiliar with my case. He began by saying he would not perform my surgery if I required rehab care afterwards as he informed me of the perceived dangers of infection in rehab.. I live alone and do not have anyone to help me full time in the first weeks after surgery. I also have had four blood clots and so he said surgery could be dangerous.His suggestion was to find in home care or find another surgeon. He said to continue with knee injections, change my living situation, get a cane, walker or wheelchair as needed. He then prescribed a topical medication for joint pain which is not safe for people like me on blood thinners. I felt completely hopeless for my future leaving the appointment.

Dr Bric was thorough at helping me understand my situation and possible choices. Also ordering a test so we can have a clearer idea if the pain is from my hip or spine. I appreciate that rather than jumping into surgery right away. I'm very impressed with Dr Bric

Anterior Hip Replacement
Dr. Bric is professional, conscientious and has an excellent bedside manner. I had anterior hip replacement on 6.22.23. As of 7.5.23, I am able to walk unassisted. I only needed pain medication for the first 5 days after surgery. He explained the procedure thoroughly, allowed me to view X-rays and kept my family informed after surgery. My incision is healing beautifully. I am very pleased. I cannot thank him and the staff at Emory Decatur enough for the impact that their expertise and professionalism has had on my quality of life!!!
