Dr. Jung-Woo Ma, MD

I had no wait time with this visit. Dr Ma was very thorough in his questions and a great listener as to the responses from me...asking for further explaination of my injury, when needed. Dr. Ma explained in great detail what my treatment would be. He has a wonderful demeanor, made me feel confident in his diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Ma is very compassionate and knowledgeable He is working with me to make my back issues better.

He listens. My back pain gets pretty bad. MRI was taken and I needed epidural steroid shot for Sciatica. It stopped the pain shooting down my leg. So happy. I also have arthritis in my Lower back along with Bursitis. So, next is 3 shots for that. Numbing agent, then shot. Feels like a mosquito bite. Dr. Ma is very thorough, patient, accurate as is the team that works with him. Thank you, see you soon.

I've needed shots in my spine every few years since I was young. I always dreaded them until I met Dr. Ma. I don't even feel his shots.

Dr. Ma and his team have been helping me to pinpoint where my pain is coming from and moving toward eliminating it. I’ve had many injections from Dr. Ma and his team and they always do an amazing job! I highly recommend Dr. Ma and his team if you want to feel better and find where your pain is really coming from.

Dr. Ma asks pertinent questions to get the important information he needs. He explains issues, or his concerns, and his treatment recommendations. He's very thorough, compassionate, caring and verbally enforces and explains what he wants you to do for your problem. He offered a couple of suggestions to help me, which other drs have not.

On time. Effective and efficient conversation. Dr. Ma very focused on solving increasing problem with my back pain. Have procedure scheduled.

Like some other reviews I felt rushed and ignored across each office visit. His treatment protocols for significant sciatic nerve pain after a spinal laminectomy were ineffective. He fixates on the laptop, not the patient, and exhibits very poor probing and listening skills. Upon my last visit with him, he made no recollection of a phone conversation we had just days prior over my condition. Worse, when I complained that my condition had worsened after initial improvement when his care and chiropractic care were first introduced, he became argumentative insisting that his treatment protocols 'were working'. He then gave me a lecture on the 'importance of good communication' after telling me several times 'you need to understand' - his words! Excuse me Doctor, I led a very successful business career for 45 years where good communication with my employees and clients was essential. I don't need your lectures, I need help with my pain.

Dr. Ma was very informative and took his time to explain the procedure which was successful .

I first saw Dr Ma after moving away from my previous pain management doc. Dr Ma has since taken fantastic care of me. He probes for the causes of my back pain and has worked to make me very comfortable. He responds immediately and truly cares about his patient’s comfort. I’m very grateful for Dr Ma!

I felt like my appointment was an inconvenience for the Doctor. He came in with his laptop and spent more time focused on that than what I was saying. He was only in the room for five minutes at most. After waiting so long for an appointment to be scheduled I was really disappointed.. I am not sure I will continue care. As an athlete my mobility is very important to me. He didn’t seem to understand or even try to.

Dr. Ma listened attentively and did not make me feel rushed. I told him I was the captain of my ship, but needed a good navigator. He understood what I meant and did just that. He offered suggestions that were my options to choose. Exactly what I was looking for - a partner in my healthcare. I felt well heard and cared for. Will not hesitate to see him again.

I felt rushed from the moment he walked into the room. He would ask me a question & would answer it before I could. I did not get to ask him any questions I had before I was rushed out of the room & I had ?’s that I really wanted answers to. He also decreased my medication, even though I had been on the same dose for over a year. I explained to him that I had gastric bypass and I do not get the full dose of meds I take and he said, well then you shouldn’t notice a difference in the decreased dose. I do notice a difference when the dose is decreased because that means my body absorbs even less. I tried to explain, but he wouldn’t listen to me. I also noticed that when I would say I was having an issue he would minimize it. When I would say, so what about the bone spur on C6-7and that it seemed to connect to my issues, he would deny it. I was so upset I sat in the parking lot & cried until I could drive back home. I would not suggest him to anyone. Thankfully, I have found a better Dr

Dr. Ma is an excellent doctor.A Doctor Who listens and takes your opinion into consideration.I would go back to him again, and again if I had to!!

Dr. Ma is the best! He takes time to listen to your concerns and helps in anyway he can.

I came in for an injection in my hip. It was quick and easy and not at all painful. I hope it works I have had one before from another doctor and that was very painful. Thank goodness Dr Ma is extremely good at what he does totally different experience.

I had a successful experience with Dr. Ma he helped me with the pain from deterioration of a couple disks and arthritis. In my lower back. It was like I had a new lease on life. I will continue to see him as needed. Highly recommend him.
