Dr. Julius Oni, MD

This was my first appointment with Dr. Oni. He was very personable, professional, and courteous. He made me feel at ease in discussing my arthritis with him. He took his time to explain everything and the way forward. My overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Oni!

I traveled to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center to have a total knee replacement on my right knee. I met Dr. Oni for a pre-op appt, the day before my scheduled surgery. As soon as Dr. Oni entered the exam room, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Oni is genuinely interested in me, as his patient. He put me at ease and answered all my questions and concerns. The day of surgery he stopped in to see me in pre-op and then stopped by in the evening to assure me that the surgery had gone well. He was even able to correct the bowlegged issue in the knee. When I saw Dr. Oni at a post-op appt several days later, he recognized me and assured me that the knee was healing well and everything was good. Dr. Oni treated me like a person, not a number or a paragraph on a medical chart. He focused on me when we were talking and he took care to make sure I understood all of the details regarding my surgery and recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Oni, without reservations. Best surgeon for TKR.

My first appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. Highly impressed with Dr. Oni. He was very professional and courteous. I felt at ease discussing my medical condition with him. Initial consult was perfect as to info provided, care and concern, bedside manner. etc.

Dr. Oni was very transparent in visit with me regarding my hip revision surgery. He explained my current condition as well as my possible condition if I didn’t have surgery soon. I’m so grateful that Dr. Oni performed my procedure, because it ended up being a total right pelvic reconstruction procedure. My initial contact with Dr. Oni was when I did my research on who to choose for my knee replacement. He is bio he said that he has one philosophy, he treats his patients like he treats his family, and he loves his family. This us what sold me on this gentle giant. Very personable, and approachable. Awesome! That’s how I would like to describe Dr Julius Kunle Oni, orthopedic surgeon whom I had my first consultation with re my knee problems. He took the time to explain everything to me. Obviously very highly qualified. I will and have already recommended him to several people in my network!

Had an appointment and arrived on time—which apparently is considered late. So—he refused to see my mother-in-law. Am personally very respectful of my time, and expect that he is too. Refusing to see a patient for being on time seems a bit too much though. A shame and definitely NOT patient-friendly. Will reschedule with someone who has a bit more customer friendly attitude.

I needed a hip replacement; I was in terrible pain and could no longer walk for any distance without support. I went to Dr. Oni for the replacement. I am like a new man I can walk, bend over, I am in no pain. Dr. Oni and his staff and the staff at Bayview are top notch… Thank You

Great surgeon, positive energy, everything went great!

Dr. Oni performed total knee replacements on both of my knees, the first in January 2020, and the second in June 2020. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I am writing this review four weeks after the second surgery and am walking pain free for the first time in several years. Dr. Oni’s talents as a surgeon have absolutely upgraded my quality of life.

Dr. Oni replaced my right knee. He is an excellent surgeon and warm human being. I am still experiencing some pain and swelling from the procedure after six weeks, but Dr. Oni and my therapists say this is normal and will subside as the healing continues. I met a woman who had her knee replaced two months ago by another surgeon in another hospital. She is unable to bend or stretch out her leg even after a procedure of manipulation.

I went to Dr. Oni for severe OA in my left hip. He recommended a few options, but said that a total replacement was the best approach. The surgery was scheduled and on the appointed day I went to the hospital. Dr. Oni and the other staff at Johns Hopkins Bayview were wonderful. My procedure was a complete success and I am now in physical therapy. I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Oni.

I have a connective tissue disorder that can make any surgery difficult. Dr. Oni performed a total knee replacement on my left knee. It was one of the best outcomes I have had for any of my surgeries.

Dr Oni really didn't give me a chance to ask questions he just walked out. He was obnoxiously rude.
