Dr. Julie Welischar, MD

Dr. Welischar is a phenomenal OBGYN. I was very nervous during my pregnancy/delivery and Dr. Welischar took the time to answer my questions and calm my nerves. The day of my scheduled c-section she held my hands and talked me through the spinal bc she knew I was particularly anxious in that moment. She made me feel listened to, well cared for, and safe. And I knew that I could trust her to bring my baby into the world. She really went above and beyond any other doctor I’ve known. I highly highly recommend Dr. Welischar.

Dr Welischar delivered my wife and I’s first baby, Maxwell. She recommended that she perform an emergency c-section when our baby wasn’t taking to the labor process. She did an incredible job and we’re so happy / lucky we had her as our doctor. Highly recommend.

After my wonderful OB/GYN moved out of State 15 yrs ago. Sadly I was on the search for a new gynecologist. After many scheduled appointments with other physicians, I was referred to Dr. Welichar. My search stopped there. She is absolutely wonderful. I have referred many friends to her who absolutely adore her also. A Doctor with heart & compassion. Rare find these days.

Dr. Welischar delivered both of my baby girls. First one an emergency c section, which was one of the scariest experiences of my life. She was amazing through the entire thing. Calmed me down, assured me everything was going to be fine... my second baby I wanted to try for a vbac, but she was breech, and I had other complications, so the safest option was to schedule the c section. She held my hand during my spinal, and was so comforting for me, which I needed because even though I had already had a c section, I was really nervous. Dr. welischar has been nothing but kind to me, which I don’t always find in the medical field since I’m a larger girl. She listens to all of my complaints, my worries, and my opinion on my healthcare, all of which I’ve been able to say without feeling judged. I’m not sure why people are saying she has no bedside manner, because she absolutely does!

Terrible bedside manner. Yes, she knows her stuff but if you’re looking for warm and fuzzy, look elsewhere. I was so nervous for my newborn baby boy to get circumcised and instead of insuring me he would be fine she put me down for being scared and to be away from him for a period of time. I’m so glad she didn’t deliver my babies

First office visit went well. Dr Welischar was very friendly. Office staff also.

I have been going to Dr. Welischar and this practice for almost 16 years. Dr. Welischar and the team have been with me through many stages and events in my life. It's such a caring and comfortable environment! I couldn't imagine going anywhere else! I'm incredibly grateful to them and recommend them to everyone I know.

Dr. Welischar is informative but caring. She takes the time to answer any questions you have and makes sure that you always feel comfortable and understand the information that she is presenting you with

She over prescribed testing and did a very long and painful biopsy.

No bed side manner. 1st pregnancy and during delivery was just not reassuring. Didn't explain anything. Left the room while I was pushing didn't say where she was going .nurse had to explain some other woman was in labor too. Became a rush for time...definitely not helpful in making a scary ordeal any better.. instead was just that a scary ordeal.

She is fantastic. If not for her enthusiasm and support during my delivery I would have ended up with a c-section. She has found her calling! My husband and I were so grateful!!!
