Dr. Selig doctor made me feel like I’m a bad parent and not providing adequate nourishment to my child. She made me aware of her feelings towards breastfeeding and co-sleeping, going as far as accusing me of not producing enough milk and that water should be the only liquid my baby is eating. She told me my breast milk is rotting my babies teeth. Dr. Selig told me my 15 month old child is no longer a baby. I left feeling very judged and feeling like I’m a bad mom. I was in tears when she left the room. If you want to question every decision you have made as mom, then please, make an appointment with Dr. Selig. One of the worse bedside manners I have encountered.

She was awful. I can’t imagine any good pediatric facility associating themselves with an offensive Dr like her. We’ll never visit again. She is rude, dismissive and absolutely nightmarish while dealing with sensitive issues.

I had a negative experience with Dr. Selig. She was so dismissive of the information I was providing. She questioned why I would have my child on antibiotic for strep after I explained he had a a positive strep test that was not completed at T&C. Perhaps she didn't hear me mention the positive strep test but her communication was very negative regarding the decision that was made. I was discussing my children's diet with her, which is not broad but relatively healthy. I mentioned that my children enjoy drinking milk. She said that there is really no nutritional value from cow milk. She didn't expand on why she said that or what the science or medical reasoning was behind that statement. When I asked about it, she did not respond and continued with her evaluation of my children. I did not like my experience with her and will never go see her again. I am considering another practice.

I've seen her on multiple occasions and thought she provided good information and recommendations. She takes thorough notes and always asks about past issues/outcomes.

Lurie Children's should be ashamed to be associated with Dr. Selig. The quality of her care is poor at best. She insulted my 4 year old's weight (he is very athletic and muscular but she went only on BMI), spoke to him and told him to eat more cauliflower and sweet potatoes and asked if he was active enough (literally just come from all day camp sweating and had baseball uniform on). Her level of care caused me to leave the practice after being with them for 4 years with both kids.

This woman reported us to DFCS after bringing our daughter to Town and Country for a check-up after she fell out of bed, and after a full examination (including CT scan) from Swedish Covenant. We were interviewed and were forced to admit our child to another hospital (because Dr. Selig found their facility and qualifications inferior for some reason). We were immediately cleared of any wrong-doing from DCFS as well as Luries' social workers and multiple doctors. Beware of this medical-troll.
