Our visits to Dr Nam are always a pleasure. The staff is courteous and helpful. The seating area os comfortable and wait time is minimal. My children walk into her exam room with a smile. She warm way and clear kindness that make them feel at ease during examination. Her exams are thorough but efficient and she is always happy to explain and/or answer questions. For these reasons, even though we have moved out of state, we travel 1.5 hours each direction for our appointments :)

At 72 years of age, I did not expect to experience an issue common to small children. I went to my regular ophthalmologist complaining of double vision. He had the good sense to refer me to Dr. Nam. I have strabismus. This is a condition wherein each eye points in a somewhat different direction resulting in double vision. Often called sleepy eye it is most common in small children and is usually correctable. Dr. Nam diagnosed me in less than 5 minutes. She tried different strengths of prism appliques on my existing lenses and in a matter of minutes, my condition disappeared. After receiving new lenses my 20/20 vision has been completely restored and I can even drive comfortably at night. The follow-up letter she sent to my ophthalmologist and my regular doctor was incredibly detailed and provided the benchmark for my future care. I am beyond thrilled with the results.

Dr. Nam is very kind and soft spoken. This makes my girls feel very at ease with her. They have been Dr. Nam's patients for over 10 years. The Reade Street office is amazing. Her staff is very professional . I am also very happy to say the office is very clean! My only disappointment I had to wait 3 months to see her. Next year I will book my kids appointment much sooner. She also gives an excellent eye exams. I myself have worn glasses for over 40 years, I wish I got the same exams that my kids get at my eye Dr.s office.

My son was 4 years old when we met Dr. Nam. She diagnosed him with amblyopia and recommended surgery. Dr Nam is an amazing surgeon, professional, empathetic and patient. We highly recommend her.
