Dr. Julie Burnham, DO

Never had a visit!! The receptionist wouldn't even give me an appointment, said I needed a referral. Told her I don't need a referral with my insurance, said my doctor would have to give me one, I told her he did refer me, she said have your PC do all the leg work ahead of time so you don't waste the doctors visit with you when someone that really needed to see her could have had that hour. I thought that is why you go to a specialist to find out what is the problem! I heard she is an amazing doctor but I will never go see her due to her receptionist.

I have been with Dr. Burnham for almost 24 years. I would not see another neurologist. She is very knowledgeable in her specialty. She is kind and considerate. She explains everything about very extensively. She makes sure you understand the treatment protocols. I have been extremely happy with Dr. Burnham and have recommended her to friends and family.

She's professional and determined to get and provide treatment to correct issues to improve daily living. I wish she could be my primary care physician.

Dr. Burnham has restored my faith in doctors and the medical system. Without her I would still be on medications I didn’t need. Other neurologists pale in comparison. In fact…. fail in comparison. Thank you Dr. Burnham I can never repay you for your kindness, compassion and knowledge.

Dr. Burnham is a great doctor. She explained everything to me very clearly and I know a lot about what causes migraines. Problem is it's been a week and even though I've asked several times she continues to prescribe a 30 day supply of two medications I cannot afford. My health insurance copay is $75 for a 30 day supply of medicine and $20 for a 90 day supply. Over the course of a week I have been prescribed several medications, all at 30 day supplies. I can't afford that. I'm going to have to cancel my follow up appointment with her and find a neurologist who might be willing to prescribe something affordable. I'm quite depressed because I waited 3 months for this appointment and expected her to help me. I've had a migraine on and off for about a month. Now I have to try to find another neurologist or just try to function with migraines.

I have to say I love Dr. Julie Burnham But as far as the Office Management I’m very up set with, My last doctors appointment was a month ago and Dr and I spoke about me getting the Botox for my Migraines and the office manager didn’t send the prior oth, to the insurance until Sept 13th I have been so sick with these headaches and with playing the waiting game is not ok expecially when I call the insurance and they say they haven’t heard from the office other then the 13th ???? very upsetting

Some yrs back I recall being afraid to have some Neuro test administered due to a prior bad experience at a different providers office. Dr Burnham assured me it wasn't necessary to have had that bad of an experience, and that she would do her best to help make it comfortable. At the next appointment she played soft music, offered a warm blanket, and casually conversed with me throughout the test. Then she provide a treatment plan that actually worked. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Julie Burnham is an amazing Neurologist who truly cares and takes time to help you understand and treat your condition. Her staff is kind and very accommodating. I felt at home immediately and didn't feel alone in my condition. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I did not have success with prior Neurologists. She took her time to explain and help me understand what was happening. She is easy to talk to and extremely personable. She is the best!!!

Dr. Burnham was excellent. She explained everything to me, spent time listening to my concerns and was very nice. Her staff was equally friendly and helpful. I'm so glad I finally made an appointment to see her. I did wait an extra 25 minutes to see her but she is a specialist and things happen. She spent as much time with me as I needed.

I left my other Neurologist of 2 years because they were unprofessional and I never saw him only PA's. Dr. Burnham is great, I see her every time and she truly cares about my health. I will never go anywhere else....

The number 1 reason not to choose Dr.Burnham is because her staff is so awful. She may have good credentials but she doesn't know how to hire admin staff. A caring and comforting team should be a priority since Dr. Burnham, like most physicians is very hard to reach. My sweet mom was a patient being treated for dementia. When an even greater crisis occurred, we were unable to make contact with her office in order to request necessary medical records. They actually hang up on you!

I was trying to tell her that it took a few times to get her office to answer the phone and she cut me right off and said you've gotten through. Sorry you may have a degree but you won't talk like that to me again

She is very passive & treats everyone like they all have the same symptoms, pain , etc. She was scarastic and rude. She recommended Botox for my migraines and was not honest about pain or side effects. Could never get help with meds or answer. Went to the ER twice within 2 months of Botox with 3 day migraines. Never a call or follow up. I tried there before going to the ER. Horrible!
