Cold and Lack of Bedside Manner
I had a breast ultrasound recently at NYU Langone where the results were inconclusive. During my meeting with Dr. Po after the ultrasound, I was met with a cold and dismissive tone, as if she was annoyed to have to be dealing with yet another patient that day. Given Dr. Po's stated care philosophy as supposedly centered around patient care and compassion, I received zero respect, kindness or compassion during my meeting with her. I just sat there in shock that a doctor could behave that way. Given the sensitivity and emotional weight of the subject matter, one would think that the doctor would provide a decent patient experience when delivering results. I am not expecting the world here, I understand doctors are busy, but I am certainly not expecting a doctor who sits there and acts like you are wasting her precious time, especially when you're trying to process what is happening and navigate what is next. No patient should have to go through an experience like that.

I had a very pleasant experience today. I felt very taken care of. The Dr took her time to check twice. Overall very professional and the staff could not be nicer.

I went to see Dr. Po for a concerning biopsy, so I was very nervous, but she put me at ease. She even let me ask my standard million questions and answered each one reassuringly--and by that I mean both friendly and scientific. A later follow-up call was also returned promptly with friendliness and, given the situation, very kind humor. Dr. Po is very professional, and another radiologist I consulted for a second opinion (out of an abundance of caution) told me I was lucky to have had a very careful doctor look at my scans first because someone less careful might have missed the problem. So I'm very grateful to Dr. Po and would highly recommend her to anyone

My arrival was very smooth. The first woman was kind and sensitive. Her assistant I believe was Vindy..also very nice. Dr Po strolls in with an air of superiority and no warmth at all. During the procedure I screamed and cried and she left me. She only returned as I asked to see her.She told me the pain was due to the lidocaine hitting the cancer. I am not a Dr., but this seems to be ridiculous.
