She weight-shamed my daughter. At her wellness visit, she said she gained "so much weight" during COVID that she told me to put her on an eating plan that included "no juice" (words out of her mouth), even though we don't have juice in our house. We did adjust our daughter's eating plan and included more fruit and veg; even though they were already part of every meal. She gained 4 lbs during the 3 months that the Dr requested for a weight check. When we went back, Dr. Osterov wasn't even there to check. But my daughter sobbed when she heard she gained 4 lbs in 3 months. She said "sorry I failed, mommy!" SHE IS 6. She doesn't need to be shamed that way. Prior to this the doc referred to her as "chubby". Am looking for a new pedi as we speak. Don't go to her.
