Avoid at all costs
Extremely rude, horrible bedside manner. Draws fast conclusions. Has staff or himself enter false information when a patient like myself already has a pre existing condition. Run from this 'Dr' if you have a chronic condition needing emergency services.

Great ER Doctor and Staff
I am shocked about the negative reviews of Dr. Glasser. I spent 13 hours at Scripps La Jolla ER and was very lucky to get him as my Dr. I am typically terrified of anything medical and from the moment I met him he instilled confidence and trust. I had a severe headache that came on suddenly and he was concerned about an aneurysm or brain bleed. He ordered a CAT scan with dye. Years ago I had a bad reaction to the dye and was told not to ever use it again. He reassured me that he would put something in the IV to alleviate the chances of an allergic reaction. I trusted him so I proceeded and he was correct. I had no reaction. In 20 years no other doctor has ever suggested that. I also had a spinal tap which sounds terrifying but he was so calm and comforting that it turned out to be not that bad. All my results came back negative. From the moment I got there to the moment I left every person I came across was just fabulous. Thank you so much, Dr. Glasser snd staff.

Reassuring, nonjudgmental
I’m really surprised for some of these reviews I’ve read, because I had a wonderful experience with him recently. I went in very concerned about abnormal bleeding and he was incredibly reassuring, listened to me when I explained my fears and what I wanted to rule out, and put me at peace of mind when I left the hospital. I would absolutely see him again if I had the choice. He was not judgmental when I explained my highly unlikely fears and told me he would not push back if I wanted additional testing. I was very happy with my experience at this hospital overall!

Incredibly reassuring and knowledgable
I just went to Scripps LJ ER and as soon as my EKG was reviewed, I was moved immediately into a room and Dr. Glasser was there with a team asap. He did a lovely job describing options for treatment and provided some incredible solutions that worked! All along he took the time I needed to understand my situation. He had a very kind and reassuring demeanor. I recommend him without reservation.

Excellent Patient Relationships
I had a recent stay in the ER at Scripps Genesee. I found Dr. Glasser to be thorough and thoughtful. I was particularly impressed by his ability to relate to his patients and explain the medical situation clearly. Thank you Dr. Glasser!

Run out of the ER if you have to see this doctor!!
Judd Glasser was terrible, and I feel sorry for anyone who has to see him in the ER at Scripps!! He came into the room and abruptly asked me "what do you need?" No bedside manner whatsoever! I explained that I was in excruciating pain in my left lower leg, could barely walk, and had a fever of 102! His response "that's only a very low-grade fever, without mentioning one word about the pain!". I already knew this visit was going downhill quick. He then stated he'll order me an ultrasound of my leg, and a basic blood test to rule out DVT (had no idea what this is). He was maybe in the room 90-secs tops and ran out. I sat there for an hour by myself, without anyone checking on me at all, before the tech arrived for the test. I told the tech I was in agony, to which he said, the doctor said you can only have ibuprofen. I was disgusted, but in too much pain to cry or fight. I was finally told I had a huge blood clot in my leg and still discharged without pain treatment. Appalling!

Judgemental and Argumentative
I had aN encounter with Glasser at Scripps ER La Jolla. All of my specialists are there and I have visited often. I now know Scripps vendors out and Glasser was my attending doctor at the time. I went in for thr 2nd day with palpations and SVT's. I have had a LINQ monitor installed for these reasons. The EKG showed this was occurring as did the monitor. This was my 3rd day of no sleep due to my issue. He asked me what was wrong but as I was in tears and expressing my issues, he seemed uninterested. He then took blood, gave me some meds, then said these issues aren't life threatening and my anxiety makes it worse and therefore he could admit me to Psyche for an evaluation. I told him I understand my anxiety can make matters worse but the diagnostics clearly show there is an issue and I wouldn't see the specialists I do if there wasn't. He told me to go home and get my mental issues under control. Just as Kaiser diagnosed me with Mania failing to see I had Grave's Disease. Awful doctor.

Horrible doctor
My experience with Dr Glasser was horrible. I took my son to the ER a few weeks ago at scripps in La Jolla. He has heart issues and his legs were completely swollen. After waiting 5 hours to get him admitted Dr Glasser looked at his chart, told him abruptly he was releasing him because he was not in any immediate danger. He had fainted that morning and hit his head. He has congestive heart failure and his legs were a swollen mess. Because of that he felt his ankle had been sprained or broke. All he did was look at his ekg and said he hadn’t had any recent heart attacks so go home and call your cardiologist. Didn’t look at his legs or feet and sent him out the door at 3 in the morning. No empathy, no concern, no compassion. I feel sorry for whoever has Dr Glasser as a doctor. Will never go back to him or this ER again.

Avoid at all costs. If you happen to have a chronic health problem that leads you to go to the ER on occasion, be aware that this Dr. will not take your diagnosis or medical records seriously. Instead, either himself or his staff will write fallacious notes and make light or your health condition leading to more incorrect information being entered which violates patients rights.

Dr. Judd Glasser lacks empathy, care or concern for patients. When in the emergency room with severe pain due to complications with a kidney stone surgery stent he was condescending, dismissive, belittling of my pain and showed no remorse. I don’t know about you, but when I go to an ER due to severe pain I want to see a physician who actually cares about the well being of his patients. He refused to call the urologist on call to remove the stint causing pain because he “successfully masked the pain” despite my urologist saying it is okay to order it to be removed. Masking pain isn’t a solution to the problem and refusing the patient the ability to make their own choices regarding what stays in their body especially when causing severe pain and then mocking them for being afraid of the problem not being solved is gross negligence and malpractice. 0/10 would not recommend this narcissistic careless physician.
