Dr. Juan Alzate, DDS

I had a pleasant experience with the staff at Dr.Alzate’s office. Arsho was wonderful, she was very caring and made me feel comfortable. She explained my procedure and helped ease my mind . I was happy with everything and will definitely recommend this office.

I had an appointment at 9am for an extraction. I Wasn’t seen until 11:30 and was told that the extraction may not happen the same day as this is just a consultation. I was shocked. I received a consultation in the same office for the same tooth 2 months prior. And 2 1/2 hour wait with an appointment for a consult? When the doctor came into the office he asked how I was. I replied that I was a bit frustrated because I was told I was there for an extraction by the front desk only to wait 2 1/2 hours only to be told it was a consult. I have been in severe pain for days and need the tooth out. He replied “you and everyone else in this office. I only have two hands what do you want me to do”. I was shocked. As time went on and I agreed to spend 500$ on a bone graph that I now question if it was needed. They booked me for a 1:30 treatment time. Of course I didn’t get in until 2:30. So 5 1/2 total hours at the office now. Then the Dr comes in and begins to administer the anesthetic. I wince in pain. He doesn’t stop. He just goes faster and I begin to cry. He asked me why I’m crying now it’s numb. He began the procedure while I cry and shake. He pulls and digs at the tooth with no regard that I am an actual person and not to mention the meds had only just been administered. I was not fully numb yet. He continues, as I cry, he shoves in the “graph”, puts in sutures and says “there it’s out” while throwing up his hands and walks out. I feel absolutely and completely traumatized and violated. He has zero bed side manner, no professionalism and does not care one bit about the person connected to the tooth

I was referred to Dr Alzate from a dentist in Fresno to pull a tooth. I haven’t had a tooth pulled since my wisdom teeth when I was 21. I was so scared bc when I had my wisdom teeth pulled I was sedated for all 4 teeth to be pulled. This time I’m awake and scared. He came in very energetic and sure of himself which made me relax some. He looked at my tooth and said we’ll pull it now no problem and relax. I’m so scared of those shots. He gave me several and a phenomenal job at not making me suffer on pain. He put the shots perfectly in place that the extraction went so fast I didn’t know it was done. I literally had no pain, he removed the cause of my pain. So seriously if you need extraction trust him. He’s pulled 4 of mine and I highly recommend him. Enjoy his energetic confident personality that’s what you want in a dentist. He’s also very gentle when extraction. I seriously love this dentist & wish he did more than extraction, he’s be my home dentist.

My visit was terrible the staff is not trained properly when there is a patient in the room no respect I was not attended to I had an appointment he repair the white woman first I had to wait over 1 hour still no help .

My mom was to him, the reason for the appointment was for him to review her condition and advise on what best course of action to take, either extract her wisdom tooth or clip her gums or remove part of her cheek from the inside as she has unique, serious condition. Dr. Alzate walked in dressed like he had just gotten off his Harley Davidson (or maybe he was in a hurry to take off on one), he didn't even look at the paperwork, just asked my mom to open her mouth, spent 2 seconds looking at her mouth and said, "Ok, we'll setup an appointment to extract your tooth" and started walking out when I stopped him, telling him why we were there. He then came back, skimmed through the paperwork and looked at her mouth again. One of his techs, reviewed the paperwork further and noticed a medication my mom was on that can lead to very dangerous consequences. Dr. Alzate, dismissed discussing any other options because, his words, "we don't do any of that here," (not enough space to continue)

I just had two of my wisdom tooth pulled out and I gotta admit I was pretty nervous for being my first time but I thank dr.Juan alzate for making my experience fast,easy and painless his assistant Dersiree was really friendly and explained everything that was going to happen step by step she was very helpful and professional !!!

I would give zero stars if I could.I went there for my annual medi-cal cleaning and exam. The dentist there said I needed a deep cleaning, a second root canal on my front tooth, and my crown on a molar that I had since 2000 needed to be redone because "it wasn't seated properly". I was given a $4110.00 bill, what a bunch of con men.  They said I had two minor cavities that I found out through reporting them to medical fraud that medi-cal rejected the bill. They were going to ruin my teeth for $!

I have huge anxiety and Dr. Alzate made me calm by talking to me and made it super quick my last wisdom tooth was a pain and stubborn but he apologized at the end even though it wasnt his fault

My first time here was an amazing visit. Clinic was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly and Dr. Alzate was one of a kind. Everyone knew what they were doing. I was happy my 11st visit. Dr. Took care of me. However, I recently went back And this last visit will sure be my last. There was a few new faces & a lot of asst who didn't know what they were doing. It took 4 people to do my x rays while sitting there watch in then figure what's right/wrong And I was sent back 3 times to retake them.

If I could give zero stars I would. Booked an appointment for a cleaning was seen by the dentist today and spent about and hour and half there and was in he dentist chair and they told me they couldn't do a cleaning today. It was just a big waste of my time. The staff doesn't work well together, and I think they have communication problems. The whole entire visit they were trying to sell me braces or sell me whitening. I was literally just there for a cleaning and didn't even receive one.

He has the best staff he's great pain free. The rdaef is fabulous if your ever looking for a new smile come here after over twenty years of not smiling he has me smiling today.

I was referred to this office through a coworker and I'm so glad I decided to schedule an appt with Juan Alzate. The office is modern and spotless. So pretty. The office staff was genuinely nice and understanding of my nervousness about seeing a dentist. And when I met the doctor, he was courteous, yet professional. My dental visits have been so easy with this office. I finally found my dental "home."
