Misdiagnosis and neglect
Went in for an ER visit with torsion, Dr Stern diagnosed it as epididymitis (it was not). After 4 follow ups and 3 different anti-bacterial medications, one of which had a side effect of death, to no avail. Came back to his office around 7 months later to find out my testicle died. I am leaving this review here to give at least somebody a warning that this doctor has mistreated patients in the past. Nobody should have to go through what I went through.

Simply the Best
Had an enormous kidney stone and Dr. Stern was the only one who could remove, and send me home the same day!! He is the best stone doc around. Love him!

I have been seeing Dr. Stern for several years for kidney stones. He is has been my savior. The best doctor I have seen. He is so compassionate which is so important when it comes to a difficult disease. He is skilled and can you believe it, I look forward to my appointments

Drove in from Nyack to see. Dr. Stern. Our local urologist said only to see him. Dr. Stern was compassionate, easy to talk with and such a good surgeon. No issues and problem solved!

Having Dr. Stern as my urologist has been one of the best medical experiences I have had. He and his team are 100% professional. His bed side manner is more then wonderful--and his staff is amazing. I could not have asked for anything better for me and my 3 kidney stones

Recently saw Dr. Stern for kidney stones. Have suffered since I was a child and have seen many doctors for this. Dr. Stern is the best I have seen in the NY area--its the combination of his knowledge, surgery skill, research and his ability to talk with patients in an easy manner that makes him rise above the rest. Montefiore and Stern have been a great combination for me!
