Dr. Joshua Kimelman, DO

Dr. Kimelman has taken care of me twice now in the past 4-5 years for separate knee pain issues. Both times I have received personal care, diagnosis, and recommendations that have improved my quality of life. Thankful for his care!

I was referred to Dr.Kimelman for a consult. Greeting me kindly, he listened about my problem attentively and sympathetically. After discussing my case with me carefully, in detail, Dr. Kimelman referred me to one of his surgical colleagues who, he felt, could best help me. I greatly appreciate Dr. Kimelman’s experience as well as his encouragement. The whole staff team are excellent!

Dr Kimelman reviewed all my health information and was prepared for my visit as a new patient. He was thorough and listened to my concerns. He took ample time with me and explained everything better than any other doctor I’ve seen for the same issue. He was helpful and I appreciated his honesty. I would recommend him to anyone.

Excellent physician. My son broke his big toe and Dr. Kimelman walked us through the breakage and healing process. He explained the length of healing progress we would see and it healed exactly the way doc described. After the initial breakage and consult w/Dr. Kimelman, we left knowing what to look out for in case of infection or any problematic symptoms.

I was able to get an X-ray, a diagnosis, a pain-relieving shot, and a PT referral. I was apprehensive going in, but felt like I really got help for my issue.

He is a dangerous and uncaring person, not to mention, a liar. He gave the wrong advise to my husband after his knee surgery that almost killed him.

I re-injured my knee and was feeling very depressed, scared and lost. Dr. Kimelman was extremely helpful in explaining my situation and calming me down....he took the time to care. He is a class act human being and a phenomenal physician. He is not going to push his patients into medications, injectingions and most importantly, surgery until he has exhausted every possible option to restore your health, which is not only the right way to practice medicine, it also how Iowa Ortho is the best in their field. Dr. Kimelman is a wonderful doctor. Always listens and explains any questions regarding reason you’re there . Extremely knowledgeable and so kind and compassionate. He was very arrogant with me and my 15 year old daughter! Terrible bed side manner!! I don’t feel like he took my concerns seriously!! And basically said my only problem is that I’m too fat!!!! Well thank you for being an example of “fat phobic”!! He spoke to me with complete condemnation and I would NOT recommend him EVER!!! Totally unprofessional and rude!!!!!!!!!
