Excellent clinician and listener!
Beginning with Denise receptionist, she assisted vs kiosk due to my germ anxieties since covid & Macular degeneration eye sight. The medical assistant “Brittany” was absolutely fabulous. She listened when I said beig rushed i to room and BP taken immediately will be through the roof. She allowed me to sit in chair for EKG which relieved my spine greatly due to Spondylolisthesis since childhood. Pain elevates the BP and often in past was techs way or highway and I would not recover for a couple of days. Veronica who takes the copay and signs out was absolutely lovely. I inherited Dr DeLeon as best fit for me when my cardiologist retired; and he is a perfect fit working with my negative medical professional experiences as health care proxy and from a young age with several relatives; including stopping into a local hospital in 1968 before going on subway to school to see my Mom, and found her at 7am in SHOCK & bell was lit and ignored but my scream got crash cart - I’m caveat emptor

My mother was a patient of Dr. de Leon’s for two years and in those two years, my mom considerably declined and got worse to the point where we had to seek out a second cardiologist who told us that my mom was on all the wrong medication’s and that she should’ve been on an operating table a year prior after my mom saw this doctor. She was rushed to Saint Francis hospital and they had to give her emergency surgery.

Both my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Deleon for over 15 years, having been recommended by his secretary in another institution. I also have referred friends and relatives to his clinic. Because I do not have a heart issue, I see him yearly but my husband sees him more often. Dr. DeLeon is very caring, never rushing, and takes time to review medications and other health issues; we also have to commend the other professionals in the clinic. He is an excellent practitioner.

I first met Dr. DeLeon in March of 2000 when I suffered a heart attack in the recovery room at Mercy Hospital after a hip implant, and they then transferred me to Winthrop for this emergency where he was and is still on staff. I was in an induced coma for a week and to this day I still say it was he who saved my life at that time. I still see him twice a year for follow-up visits. I can honestly say he is one of the nicest, most caring and competent professionals you will ever meet.
