First visit
I was very pleased after my first visit with Dr. Zuhosky. He listened to my symptoms and gave me detailed information about possible treatments. The after-visit summary on the patient portal was very detailed with notes about what I described to him during the visit. I am glad he is handling my back issue and would recommend him highly because he showed me respect by being attentive and informative.

Highly recommend
Gave me options on what we needed. I needed great advice and got it. He listened, and gave me straight answers. I like that in the doctors I choose.. great person to begin with and even a better physician.

Treatment
There's so much I could say. There's no bedside manner or charm. No respect for the patient. Speaks with ignorance towards the patient. Give vague answers with no clarity regarding treatment and results. Ignores the patient questions. Very fake when showing concern for the patient's issues. No compassion. Leaves the patient with concern and worry. Inconsiderate of the patient's time. You, as the patient, have to drag answers out of him. He makes you appear as if you may not want to accept the response that he gives when in all reality, he doesn't give clear answers. The patient has to become demanding in order to get clarity. He seems to take the easy route from a situation instead of finding a solution. Dr J. Zuhosky is the worst! Is rather deal with my pain rather than go back to seek care from him. The majority of the staff was great.

Great doc. And very personable
Dr Z is always very informative when I have my spinal injections. Tells me what he is doing as he does it. Nice guy. Knows what he’s doing. Has never caused me any pain whatsoever.

I highly recommend Dr Zuhosky
Staff is efficient and very helpful.Dr. Zuhosky’s nurse is knowledgeable, answered my questions, and passed my concerns on to the doctor. Dr. Zuhosky is professional, listened to my concerns about my neck pain after an RFI injection 3 weeks ago. I feel he paid very close attention to my complaints and after a short time he discovered I also had inflammation in my shoulder. He performed a cortisone injection in that shoulder ( totally painless) and I am feeling a little better after 1 day. I did wait almost an hour passed my scheduled appointment time but it was well worth it. Dr. Zuhosky takes his time with each patient and sometimes unexpected procedures are required (like my shoulder injection). So I’m okay waiting a little.

Yelled during the whole appt. Something is wrong with this Dr. Did the same thing during my second meeting with this guy, even with a PA or nurse in the room. She was very nervous, and wanted to get out of there. I decided then and there that this Dr. wound not get the chance to put his hands on me.

Spent 1hr 10 min waiting on the most uncomfortable chairs possible. Communication while waiting was nil, and he’s backed up 5 patients deep. “He will be with you shortly”. Right. Then when I complain and suggest simple communication would be a good way to handle this, he makes excuses and refuses to listen. How can he have time to treat me when all he is doing is playing catch-up. I walked out.

A pill pusher. He just wants to prescribe away your pain and not fix it. Oh, and that’s after thousands of dollars in procedures that didn’t work but made him a lot of money. Stay away.

Customer service and patient care are very important to me. My wife works in the healthcare industry so I hear about the good and bad days. And I know that everyone is allowed to have a "bad day". But, without question, Dr. Zuhosky treated me with complete indifference. Never said "good morning". Just bluntly told me to go from one room to the next room for some tests. Instructed me to get on the table and slide as far over as possible. Never explained what he was doing. I could have almost been a cadaver. Even when I tried to initiate some meaningful conversation to discuss exactly what was happening...I was quickly shut down. *If* this is his normal demeanor...may God bless the RNs and CMAs that have to deal with that poor attitude. My testing was completed successfully and that is why I have marked this encounter as 3 stars. The service was rendered...just very poorly.

I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Zuhosky in particular. The staff is helpful, cheerful and very accommodating. Dr. Zuhosky is an excellent physician. I have seen him twice for chronic lower back pain. Each time he was polite, caring, he listened to me and took the time to explain things in detail. He guided me to take the right steps and make the right changes to manage my pain. Thank you!

I was shocked to read some of these comments. As a nurse I am acutely aware of doctors with bad attitudes. Not the case with this doctor. He spent valuable time with me every time I visited him. He gave me all the facts and options for treatment. He even showed me my X-ray and scans. I could not have asked for better care.

At 41 yrs old I found myself within 2 months walking with a cane due to pinched nerves. I was referred by a friend to Dr Z after being tortured with physical therapy that was causing me more pain but was being told I HAD to endure at least 6 weeks before any other option. Dr. Z worked quickly to try shots -no results - and got me in for surgery. Thanks to Total Spine, Dr Z and Dr Edwards I was good as new 8 weeks after surgery completely released from Drs care! Absolute best place ever!

I was a little apprehensive when I was referred to Dr. Z by some of the comments on this site. In my case these concerns were totally unfounded. He did an excellent job of diagnosis and communicating the alternative. He also implemented one of the options and could not have done a better job.

He constantly yelled at his nurse in front of me. Even if his nurse had done something inappropriately, the doctor could have at least handled it in a more professional manner. He also didn't take time to fully explain my MRI results and scoffed at my questions.
