Top Notch! Best of the best.
Dr. Zuckerman is a caring, compassionate man. He is a mensch. Excellent surgeon; he's in a class by himself. His team is there for you 24/7 after surgery. He had me text pictures of the incision almost every day after the bandage was removed. If I called with a concern I received a return call within 15 minutes. He really cares about his patients and everyone on his staff does too. My knee had extreme damage and most Orthopedists, in my opinion couldn't have repaired my knee. He will be doing my other knee as soon as possible. I recommend him without reservation.

In 2004 I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Patrick Meer. It functions beautifully. Beginning in 2016-2019 Dr. Joseph Zuckerman replaced both of my shoulders and one hip. The bones holding the prosthesis in the left shoulder broke a few months after the surgery (I did not fall), and I have been advised that the shoulder is irreparable. There is literally a piece of broken screw floating loose in my flesh. I suffer pain episodically throughout the day, and the range of motion is very restricted. Dr. Zuckerman also replaced my left hip... twice. After the first operation the hip dislocated twice, so Dr. Zuckerman replaced it again. It gives me constant pain when I walk, so I am walking much less. Dr. Zuckerman also replaced my right shoulder, and that joint also gives me pain, though it is relatively slight and the range of motion is fine. I cannot recommend this surgeon, though his personality and manner are very pleasant and appealing.

Dr.Zuckerman in addition to his surgical skills as a surgeon is concerned, involved and very engaged in your recovery and welfare. Surgery is a very scary experience and I cannot praise Dr. Zuckerman and his amazing staff enough.

From initial consult to my speedy amazing recovery Dr. Zuckerman and his team were flawless. I’d recommend him to anyone who is serious about changing their lives... I’m walking pain free! If you’re on the fence about knee surgery, don’t be...rough at first ( I did bilateral) but NYU’s team of doctors and nurses make it all bearable and then you are walking. I cannot thank you enough!

Dr. Z radiates confidence and experience. He is obviously skilled, and he trains residents who are like him. At this stage in his career, it was a pleasure to sit next to him staring at my knees on an x-ray and see his enthusiasm about the miracle of modern science that he contributed to. I got sick on day 2 of the hospitalization, and it was Dr. Z of all the caring medical personnel who calmed me down. When he said it was all nothing serious and would pass, I trusted him. The wonderful hospital, NYU, backs up this superior surgeon. Thanks.

Dr Zuckerman replaced my right hip approximately 14 years ago which I haven’t had any issues with. He was an obvious choice when I knew I needed my left hip replaced. My recovery this time was about half the time it was for my first hip replacement. Dr Zuckerman is the best!

Dr. Zuckerman recently did my left knee replacement right before the Christmas holiday. I had a little bit of drainage after the first week that he wanted to monitor. I had to change the dressing and send him photos of my knee and the dressing. Dr. Zuckerman called me at least 6- 7 times at home after receiving the photos with instructions. Did I tell you that he was out of town and still called every time. I don't know another doctor that would do that while away. He did a great job!

Dr. Zuckerman is a caring and skilled surgeon. After my Right hip replacement on December 4th, 2018 my other local doctors, my friends, and my physical therapists were all impressed with my recovery rate. What is most important is that I am too. Dr. Zuckerman's pre-surgery medical attention to my degenerating hip and my personal situation are greatly appreciated.
