DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR – TOTAL LACK OF CARE AND PROFESSIONALISMI had an absolutely horrible experience with this doctor. I came to him with a serious breathing issue, and from the very start, it was clear that patient care is not his priority.First Appointment: I was kept waiting for nearly 2 hours because he overbooked his schedule. No apology, no explanation – just a complete disregard for my time and condition.Follow-Up Nightmare: After ordering a series of tests, he suddenly informed me that he was going out of town and wouldn’t be available for another 2 weeks. I was left in limbo with no answers and no treatment plan.Rescheduled Appointment Disaster: When the new appointment date finally arrived, he had the audacity to text me the same day to cancel and postpone for several more weeks because—once again—he was going out of town.When I expressed frustration about being left hanging with an ongoing medical issue, his response? “We should just part ways.” Imagine that—a do

His patience. Very attentive and observe everything.

Both my husband and I got Covid and Pneumonia, and they got us into his office immediately. Dr. Varon knew I was very sick, and might not make it. People were dying left and right after going into the hospital, so he put me on a serious home regimen and got me back on my feet. I will forever be grateful to him. But that was not all, I had another very bad situation going on, that he picked up on at the same time, and caught more health issues that needed immediate attention. I can't say enough about Dr. Varon.

Amazing doctor he is compassionate and caring he will give you the best care he can. He believes in the right to try and isn't prejudiced against patients. He treats everyone the same. He put his heart into his work, he loves people and is determined to help his parents get better.

You can not compare Dr. Varon to any other doctor. He really cares about his patients and thorough.

Him and his team are absolutely wonderful. They take time to speak to their patients and answers any questions or doubts you may have.

Dr. Varon at UMMC is incredible! He is very thorough with explanations and doesn't leave a stone unturned when it comes to treatments! He makes sure patients are comfortable and are being well taken care of.

Dr. Varon is great ! He looks where no one else can or thinks to, and I like that he personally calls to give you your lab results. Very good bedside manner, and always tries the least invasive treatments first.

Got the appointment easily and the wait time was less than 5 mins. Friendly staff and amazing doctor who knows what he is doing. Explains everything step and makes you feel comfortable.

I highly recommend Dr. Varon to everyone. He is an amazing Doctor. He always listens to you. I am happy to find a good Doctor.

If I could give zero * I would but this is due to Alexa the office managers unprofessional uncaring behaviors & attitude. We actually didn’t get to meet Dr Varon after 3 appoints cancelled day of and rescheduled, after initial 6 week wait with promise of being seen earlier once Dr Varon was back from vacation. Alexa is aggressive, condescending uncaring & unprofessional. Seems very immature and has no customer care or managerial skills, totally appalled and disgusted by her behaviors. I was yelled & screamed at told Dr Varon was busy with really sick important patients not sitting on the couch watching TV etc as there was a tirade of Similar comments. When I told her she was a disgrace speaking to a worried mum this way she began recommending I take my son elsewhere! So we will - totally disgusted and shocked at this experience! Dr Varon I sincerely hope you get to see this review obvs Alexa did not want us seeing you in person to complain!

Wish I could give zero stars as we got zero patient care. Don’t waste your time as I wasted mine on multiple occasions. Office staff cancels appointments the day of or reschedules without regards to patient’s well-being. Doctor Varon may very well be a good doctor as some reviews project, but unfortunately it takes a team to care for patients and his office staff would not survive one day employed outside the medical world because their level of professionalism is non-existent.

Dr. Varon was wonderful. His staff is super helpful and professional. He makes me actually want to go to the doctor. Just his presence makes me feel better.

Very professional Doctor, an intelligent person that knows how to listen to you and knows whats the best treatment ! He is diligent and trustworthy ! He has been my doctor for years know, a friend of mine recommend him and I am very pleased and thankful to him for all that he was done for me ! Best doctor ever in Houston !

1st appointment on Saturday took about 3 hours of which I saw Dr. Joseph only for about 10 min. He asked for Blood work at Lab Corp. He did not call me with the results of my Lab Work! I obtained them myself and requested a follow up appointment to discuss abnormalities. When I showed up I was told that my appointment was for a previous day! ( NOT TRUE!) I was given a card with a new date and time. when I showed up the second time for a 3pm appointment, I was told that it was re-scheduled for 2pm and I was an hour late, the doctor was gone. I was given yet another appointment. For a week prior I called the office daily asking for an emailed confirmation! I finally received a confirmation via email. When I showed up, I was told that they cancelled my appointment yesterday but were unable to leave me a message cause the mailbox was full! (NOT TRUE! ) As a result - 2 months after the Lab Work and I cannot seem to get to see this doctor! Do not waist time!
