My husband was rushed to WP ER with upper quadrant abdominal pain that we thought was a PE or his gallbladder. The doctor only did a CT for the gallbladder and not an ultrasound and told us nothing was wrong and sent us on our way. 6 weeks later my husband was on business in Chicago and rushed to the hospital with the same symptoms where they did a CT AND an ULTRASOUND and found 2- golf ball size stones in his gallbladder. 4cm stones do not grow in 6 weeks! He has multiple chronic illnesses that made this very dangerous and not to mention the thousands of dollars spent back and forth to Chicago. Update: I was able to view the CT radiology report from our initial ER visit and the giant stones are visible to my untrained eye! The radiologist missed it and the doctor didn't double check even though it's blantanly obvious his gallbladder was huge and contained massive stones.
