Dr. Joseph Tornabene, MD

I was diagnosed with MS in Seattle many years ago and the disease was stable so I thought I would continue care here in Wenatchee. Big mistake. Tornabene told me I didn’t have MS. I wasted 5 years believing him and then new lesions came and went back to Seattle to the MS specialists there who couldn’t believe he went against there original diagnosis with all my lesions and symptoms. My specialist even said, Did Dr Tornabene even look at your scans- because it’s shocking he thought you didn’t have MS. I’m extremely angry he felt his unspecialized experience in MS trumpeted the department heads in Seattle and then proceeded to change my chart and history to scrub my diagnosis. Shameful. I now have to get on disease modifying drugs because of the new lesions. Confluence should remove him from seeing and diagnosing patients. Run if you’ considering going to him and save your time and possibly worsening by going straight to Virginia Mason. This guy is a joke.

Very unstable personality, first visits he was as kind as could be, great listener and very helpful. Then he just flipped like a switch, I had mentioned to him I was having a symptom that I hadn’t brought up earlier to him and all of a sudden he was combative and angry and started to yell at me for actually lying to him because I hadn’t brought it up previously. I told him I didn’t appreciate him speaking to me that way and calling me a liar . He then got up in the middle of the conversation and literally walked out of the room and slammed the door behind him. My husband and I were speechless. We walked out and asked to speak to someone about reporting his conduct, we wrote a report, nothing came of it, no wonder they have a God complex and Confluence could care less. He then wrote in my chart I was “emotional”, which they didn’t remove. So I write on his “doctor chart”- UNPROFESSIONAL. Seattle I received proper care and diagnosis, sadly you won’t find it here in the valley.

Dr Tornabene adversely affected the care I receive in the entire Wenatchee Valley. He couldn’t figure out a rare condition I had so he put very negative comments in my chart. I went to a university hospital and was accurately diagnosed. I would not recommend this Dr to my worse enemy.

I have multiple sclerosis. At one point I lost my ability to walk due to spinal lesions. He actually told me to get up and walk in his office because he didn’t believe I was ill. I have mri’s that show lesions in my brain! If you want a narcissist doctor with a god complex I recommend Dr. Tornabene. If you value your life and your safety I would go elsewhere.

Dr Tornabene was extremely thorough in his questioning and examination on initial visit. He requested numerous tests to follow to pinpoint the exact neurological issue. He is very kind to his patients and their family members.

Had my first neurology appointment and was pleasantly surprised to find a fantastic DOC. Dr Tornabene is a good listener and and explains things well. In addition he has a great personality and is pleasant to be around.
