Dismissive from the get go
I have been fortunate not to deal with too much medical gaslighting in my lifetime, as someone who grew up with a juvenile chronic illness and generally was treated and believed to know my own body from a young age. I have never been medically gas-lit as quickly as I was by Dr. Smith, who did it in his second sentence. So, what brings you here? My previous diagnosis brings me here. Oh really? and Who gave you that impression? Excuse me Dr. Smith, you have not examined me yet, and did you even read my chart? The doctor who performed my surgery 12 years ago gave me that impression. Thanks for nothing. Enjoy the insurance money you got from my useless appointment. 100 percent do not recommend. He either has an inferiority complex, or a bias against women who are over Five foot four, or both.

waited well beyond my appointment time in a claustrophobic exam room for this guy. I would have left but I needed a visit to maintain my c pap supplies. Fortunately, I can maintain the supplies by seeing a physicians assistant. If you need the services of an ENT doc, I would look elsewhere, unless you like being treated like dirt.

Would not return
My experience with Dr. Smith was disappointing and frustrating. Despite my mother's prolonged struggle with side effects from internal shingles for over four months, he exhibited a lack of compassion and professionalism. He was short, rude, and gave the impression that he was rushing us out of the appointment. His demeanor left us feeling unheard and dismissed. As someone navigating a challenging health issue, the last thing we expected was to feel rushed and undervalued during our visit. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Dr. Smith to others seeking compassionate care.

Insomnia
Went to see this MD for insomnia. I have suffered for over 20 years. I told him my story. He didn’t care. He was rude, arrogant, disrespectful and unprofessional. I knew with 1 min I would not come back.

After 3 years Im finally done. Should have left 2 years ago. Experience Dr. Smith as if he were arrogant, aloof, rushed 2 to 3 mins for patient visit EVERYTIME, he can't wait to get out of the exam room, explains things w 1 sentence, seems annoyed by even just one question. Dr is dismissive and cavalier. Staff complain to patients about the way he treats them. "Nurse" Dana identical to Dr Smith. 90 seconds and then gone. Curt blunt dismissive. Receptionists are listless apparently burnt out. Zero patients in lobby 3 patients checked out and still rush everything as if every exam room is full. Explaining procedures or diagnosis is 2 sentences at best.

Longterm Patient Leaving Practice – Jan 21, 2022

Went in for globus sensation (feeling flem and garbage in my throat) and *minor* sleep issues. Dr. Smith apparently doesn't even read charts for procedures he prescribes, and couldn't be bothered to explain his reasoning for things, which did not make sense. Dr. Smith came in, put the scope in, and (despite its discomfort) left it there and had a dialog with what the scope was showing with the PA. He pulled the scope out, and asked me to get a swallow study with their Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). He also ordered a sleep study. The sleep study showed MILD apnea. I went to the SLP, she put a camera, and you could *see* the mucous in my throat, consistent with my complaints. I went back to ENTACC, and he first re-scoped me, and went "meh, looks mostly alright", and then said he wanted to get me in with the SLP again. I said we already did that, and he seemed surprised. He still ordered the $500 apnea appliance, despite it not being consistent with symptoms.

I went to see Dr. Smith for sleep apea in 2018. I was fitted with a somnogard mouth piece. There was never any follow up recommended or scheduled. Later 2 dentists have told me that one should be followed every 6 months. Then the problems started. My bite shifted so badly that my dentist could not install a crown in April 2019 that was begun in January 2019 when my bite was still stable. I needed about 8 weeks of PT on my jaw. That was followed by braces to correct my bite so my back molars met again. I needed to spend $6,200 for Invisalign in July 2019., I wore the braces until June 2020. This past week, the permanent crown was finally put in place. Now I have incurred an addition expense of $2,000 for a retainer and mouth guard to keep the bite in place. When I contacted Dr. Smith, he was unsympathetic and admit to his malpractice.

Horrible experience (Dr. Smith). Went in for sinus problems. Had a procedure done and no change what so ever. Went to all the follow ups and was told "I dont know why" things are the same. Went for a second opinion just to find out I was "severely undertreated". Had to have surgery 6 months later. Please please get a second opinion 1st.

ent there about 5 or 6 times for the same problem. Already paid them a bunch of money and I tried to get on a payment plan for what i still owe them for all the times they misdiagnosed me. Now they want me to pay them 400 up front to do more tests. Since I cant pay 400 up front right now they told me to go back to my pcp. They got my money and now they are trying to be done with me. They do not care about their patients and just want to be paid. I can see why the reviews are so bad and I regret ever coming here. I would not recommend this place. Go somewhere else where the people actually care. Do not waste your time with this place.

Saw for snoring. All he wanted was me to buy the mouth guard he makes for $500 and insurance doesn't cover. Told my wife to wear ear plugs or move to another room. Unprofessional

I usually never leave reviews but figured this one was a must. I went to the West Chester office and was very satisfied with the person on the phone who made appointment, the front desk, the nurse and the audiologist etc. I had read a few reviews before I headed there and saw that Dr. Smith had several bad ones. I thought I would go and judge for myself. Welp....if you need someone to explain things to you in more than a sentence and have a nice attitude while doing so, don't see him. He was out the door with coat on before I was done checking out. He was curt and short with me along with the bad attitude. I don't care how smart and how great of of a doctor he may be...what initials are after your name etc. MD, PHD, abcdefg....blah blah. If there is no mutual respect, I'm done. I will be going back for further testing but told front desk NOT with him. To be continued.....

I had allergy testing with Dr. Smith. Great experience overall. He was able to get testing scheduled quickly and results were reviewed in a timely manner. Dr. Smith was willing to answer my questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Smith and ENTACC to friends and family!

Worst ENT ever. He didn't explain anything and did an in office surgical procedure that should have never been done in office. I had to go to a university hospital in Philadelphia to have fixed what Dr. Smith screwed up and was back and forth to the ER multiple times because of the pain I was in and how he messed up. Because of his mistakes and misdiagnosing me I've been in the OR three times since seeing him to fix everything. Never see him. If you have a problem you can never reach anyone.
