THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL DOCTOR EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I initially saw a different doctor at this practice and on a thursday was prescribed an $800 medicine when there were affordable alternatives. Everyone I spoke to (my pharmacist, the insurance, other doctors, med students, nurses etc) said they don't understand why I was even prescribed the new $800 version instead of the normally prescribed affordable medicines. Thursday, the pharmacy sent the doctor's a note about the price and they called me Friday morning, sending me a coupon to lower the price. They said if that doesn't work, call us right back and they would prescribe the alternative. It didn't work and I called the office back 10-15 times that Friday, emailed, left a voicemail, and no response. Every time I spoke to a front desk person, they said they were transferring me to who I needed to speak to and I was either hung up on (disconnected) or met with a voicemail, although I was promised she was available and I would be able to her. I called right before close because I needed this handled before the weekend. The front desk lady promised she would answer and I was met with a voicemail. I was calling back and I reached their after hours answering service (immediately after I just spoke to someone from the office). Their after hours answers service said they were paging Dr. Savon and he would call me in 20 minutes or to call back. I had to call back three more times and still no call from the Dr. Dr. Savon refused to call me back and said I would have to call the office on Monday-- meaning I'd have to wait until Monday just to get the medicine prescribed. The answering service said they could not page the doctor again and I would have to call on Monday. Dr. Savon refused to speak to me and I've been calling for TWO DAYS about my medication. I cannot speak to someone until Monday-- which is five days after the initial diagnosis and prescription. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional doctor's office than this one. You expect a doctor's office to have better communication and organization, or at least some compassion and understanding but I guess that is too much to ask for from here. I wish I went somewhere else.

Too busy or what?
Dr Savon is very nice but for my first ever endoscopy for severe GERD symptoms, I felt like a nameless patient. Still do. Cant get any info on whether I’m okay or not. Very stressful.

The few times I've talked with Dr. Savon, he was friendly and helpful. Trying to get a prescription refill and dealing with his nurses and staff is another experience altogether! Rude, hard to reach and still waiting after 5 weeks of calling and calling. Would not recommend.

Dr Savon seems very kind and knowledgeable- his staff on the other hand is rude and incompetent. For that reason unfortunately I would not recommend this office .

My experience today was horrific. As a result I will no longer have Savon as my doctor. Second to his incompetence his staff was rude and also incompetent. I turned to my family doctor who took care of my issue 100% in the manner that Savon and his staff was supposed to. This group including Savon should be ashamed of themselves. My response to this group is not to use them again.

Dr. Savon is, quite simply, an awesome GI and person. He's very knowledgeable of his specialization in GI and very compassionate to your issues. He takes the time to talk you. I would recommend him to anyone. If you're looking for GI, this is your guy.
