Office staff difficult to actually rude. Telephones unanswered and messages apparently ignored. One must ask to be included in "patient portal" for messages. In the followup after spinal decompression surgery, the PA's advice (to freely bend and twist back) was dangerously wrong. The surgery itself, however, was really successful.

I’ve been treated by PSSO since 2006. All my interactions with Dr Savino have worked to maintain or to improve my quality of life managing chronic severe pain at multiple spine levels. When Nurse Practitioners were brought in a few years ago I understood the need due to patient volume but patient care went downhill. Have only seen Dr Savino for the two minutes prior to an injection at his new Surgery Center. Unable to communicate with him at all now. NP doesn’t always agree with Dr and vice versa. Makes things confusing for the patient. The billing department put an inexperienced clerk to contract with the most challenging of workers compensation insurance. Two years since Surgery Center opened and still no contract in place due solely to her lack of experience and receiving no help from other staff. Four stars down from five, on the way to three, sad. But where else are you going to go?

My Husband has been seeing Dr. Savino for the better part of 2 years. He has been phenomenal with achieving control over my husband’s pain. There have been problems with staff but Dr. Savino has been very quick to address them. The best resolution and greatest way to achieve quick contact with the office is to use MyChart, usually very quick communication.

In 2016, suffering from chronic pain for much of my adult life. I'm fused L1 to S1 after 3 surgeries dated in 1974, 1994, 2014. While resolving some issues, the last surgery involv- L1,2,3, created numerous new pain issues. I'd previously been examined by a PM physician and very dissatisfied with options offered. Reluctantly decided to consult with Dr Savino and was immediately taken seriously and given a top notch physical exam. Ultimately performed 2 Rhizotomies to stop lightning bolt pain. A+

Dr. Savino has been a lifesaver as far as my pain goes in my back and my neck. My steroid injections have helped me for over three years, and he is a very caring compassionate doctor . I understand that he doesn’t have time to see me every time I have a doctor visit, but his assistance do a very good job with follow up on my care. He is very professional and I would highly recommend him if you have chronic pain .

Dr. Savino was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned. This was my first visit and he is scheduling injections for my low back pain. So far my impression of him, the staff, and the clinic are good.

Was very friendly and nice and attentative to start with. Had Iinjections in spine. By second injection he was distant and couldn't get out of the room fast enough. NO follow up on second injection at all. The injections DID NOT help my pain. May even be worse now. Also very expensive!!

This doctor did not believe my EMG test with radiculpathy of my L- S1, starring him in the face. He proceeded to tell me my problem was my periformus. I had two consultations with him and told him I did not want anymore cortisone shots for my pain. He said we could do a diagnostic shot and see if it changes things. I finally agreed to do just that. But on the day of treatment after the injection the nurse told me it was a cortisone shot! He totally just did what he wanted to do, and ignored me

My previous experience with Dr Savino, on going since 6/2008 has been exemplary. I see him every year or 2, review my meds which try to give me some quality of life and relief. He has shown empathy and understanding during these years. I am in this for life having Artificial Vertebrae, 6 levels of Harrington Rods, 3 level plated neck and jaw/facial plates.I myself, an Advanced Degree Medical Professional truly appreciate the difficulty of his Specialty. The medical abusers make it impossible

Initially Dr. Savino was very thorough and spent a lot of time with me on my first visit and I was very happy with the injection I received on my second visit. However, on subsequent visits communication was very poor. He would tell me one thing and schedule something different. When I complained about this poor communication, he decided there was nothing more he could do for me despite the fact that there was still plenty that could be done including my initial reason for going to him.

Would not recommend. My doctor told me to go to the pain specialist and I saw Dr. Savino. Three people were in the room with me, they did not listen to anything I had to say. Said they were going to give me a shot but never followed up. When I asked for relief from pain until then, he said that he could not prescribe me pain pills, but also had no other advice. Waste of time and money. Also he told my Dr. to stop giving me tramadol (which I stopped taking since it did not help). Good luck.

have been a patient of Dr. Savino for 3 months and he is the surgeon who is performing my spinal cord stimulator trial and permanent . He has always made sure when I leave his office or go into a surgery or consult that all my questions are answered to my satisfaction. My first surgery I had a lot of concerns due to many health problems I have but he made sure I was comfortable with everything and the surgery went great. I have already recommended him to many people

Trust does not work both ways with Dr. Savino and Susan Bird. They treat ALL patients as drug addicts. My insurance is billed $1,800 for a urine sample, they test me (63, credit score 819, no criminal record, not even traffic, own my home in my name only) for PCP???????? It's all about making money for Dr. Savino.
