Didn’t see Dr Locker this time around but his PA Karen was an excellent stand in.

I'm 69 years old and was having issues with both my hips for over 10 years. I did my research and found Dr Locker and met with him about 10 years ago. After looking at my X-rays, he told me that I would eventually need both hips replaced. I wasn't ready yet, so I continued playing golf and softball as well as other activities. In 2022, my left hip hurt so much that I could no longer play golf or softball. I had troubles walking more than a mile. I did tons of research on orthopedic doctors across the country using various techniques. I finally chose Dr Locker for anterior total hip replacement. I was in good enough shape to do the outpatient surgery. I went in at 11am and was home by 5pm the same day. I was able to walk, albeit gingerly, the next day without a cane or walker. I slowly started walking and within a couple weeks, I was walking a mile without any pain. It's been 6 months and I can do everything I used to do. Should have done it sooner. I highly recommend him.

He spent time to explain everything. I found his manner making me feel very comfortable and at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Locker to anyone having to have a knee replacement. As pleased with the results and him, I hope I never need his services again.

Dr. Locker took his time with us as he evaluated our son. He showed true concern and compassion as our son is dealing with a torn ACL. His knowledge and thoroughness gave us sense of mind and reassured us the we are in the right hands.

Dr. Locker spent time explaining my knee pain as well as answered my questions about exercise and stretching. I trust this provider and appreciate his knowledge, professionalism and time spent. I will continue to schedule with him for my orthopedic problems and concerns. I would also highly recommend him to friends, family and neighbors.

Detail info on what the issue was and options

In the past 8 months Dr Locker has performed a total replacement of my right knee and my left hip. Thanks to his skill he has given me back my quality of life. I am 72 years old, retired Navy and an avid cyclist, I am back to riding 15 miles a day, I can walk and climb stairs pain free, my trips to EPCOT are now enjoyable. Should I need any further ortho care Dr Locher will be my first and last stop. The care at West Marion Hospital was first rate as well.

Office visit was quick and efficient. Very professional, and friendly. He even plays golf, so I knew I'd like him.

Excellent patient care, total knee replacement, so far so good. Still having some pain at 3 months, doing PT and exercises at home as instructed. Hoping that in another month or two the pain will be gone.

Dr Locker totally replaced both my hips 11/12 years ago. Surgery went smooth, healing was quick and I was back playing golf and bowling in 6 weeks. No problems with either hip ever since. I am eleven days post total knee replacement surgery on my left knee with Dr. Locker. I have had no pain and things are going very well. My mobility has already shown amazing improvement. All the staff I have dealt with at Orthopedic Institute are professional, kind, and courteous. The front desk staff, X-ray technicians, nurses, Dr. Locker’s staff assistant, and his Physician’s Assistant have done an outstanding job in answering all my questions. I would recommend Dr. Locker and the Orthopedic Institute highly.
