Dr. Joseph Kim, MD

After the tumultuous discovery and removal of a brain tumor in the late winter one year, I found myself on OHP and thus with my first GP in a decade and change. Dr. Kim's gentle/gentlemanly insistence that I attend to other aspects of my health in the meantime led to the discovery of a second, unrelated but equally potentially lethal diagnosis that was then also diverted. I was tended to not just with eyes and ears and intellect, Dr. Kim brings his whole self into the exam room with all the respect that implies. This is who he is and what you want in a physician:He hears what you say. He hears what you don't say. He hears what you can't say.

I would highly recommend finding another doctor who listens and isn’t ignorant and thinks he knows everything

I visited Dr. Kim a handful of times. He was always late to the appointment & hurries through conversation. He doesn’t listen to what you are experiencing & would often tell me I was wrong. Via mychart his responses were very delayed. Often I would need to send multiple follow up messages. When he would finally respond, the messages were curt & rude. Usually saying he didn’t know what was going on & to just come in. That’s not helpful when appointments are booked a month out. After in person appointments he would forget to follow through with instructions or prescriptions. He would code things incorrectly for insurance, which caused issues down the line. If you’re looking for competent care, a doctor that will listen to your health concerns, & will respond to those concerns effectively- do not visit Dr. Kim.

I have been a patient of Dr.Kims for 9 yrs. I would never trust anyone else with my health issues. I highly recommend him to all friends and family.

Dr Kim has been my doc for 4 or 5 years. He listens to my concerns, gives me treatment options, and is quite competent as far as I'm concerned.

I want to him for 2 1/2 years where he misdiagnosed simple stuff. He told the hospital I didn't need to be committed to emergency when I did. I recommend no one sees him, and he quits medicine. He missed four Pinched back pinched nerves on my spine. Plus at least four things. Worry about going to this guy.
