Dissatisfied office visit
Avoid this Doctor's office. He was least interested in spending time with his patients! Just prescribed medication and go away. No explanation nothing. The nurse practitioner was dismissive and cold, both were untouched with the patient. I had a terrible experience and will not be returning.

Incompetent
I spent over $400 to have a test done, and cannot get my results due to the ignorance of the staff. Every appointment (Even though I had it in writing) the staff claimed I was at the wrong location. The reviews do not lie, these folks are incompetent and should not be allowed to practice.

Dr is Rude and Dismissive
Unlike others, I found the front desk staff to be very pleasant and helpful. It is Dr. Katta who has absolutely no bedside manner. What a rude, horrible man. I will never go back to him.

I had one appointment with Dr Katta and I didn't even see the Dr. The reason I went in the 1st place was not taken care of. The person I did see just checked my problem, then told me I had to take care of it myself. Then I received a bill in the mail. I have left several messages with the billing department to pay and no one calls back. I even stopped by the office and it is always closed. How can this ghost even claim to be a doctor.

The worst excuse of a medical doctor!
My mother suffered from liver failure due to a blood transfusion received during childbirth. She lost her insurance and had to depend on Medicaid. She ceased to be a person who mattered to Dr Katta or his staff at that moment.

Dr. Katta is wonderful.
Please don't let the rating scare you away. The ratings are because of the PA's not Dr. Katta. I have been with him for 10 years. He is a very good doctor. The problem with the waiting is when you have to see the PA Lisa. She purposely made my mother wait till the very last patient of the day because she knew I had to be somewhere but, Please ask for Dr Katta he is a great doctor.

Very frustrating, have been calling for 2 weeks to try and get a prescription changed because the pharmacy is unable to fill it due to a back order at the manufacturer. Every time I call I get transferred to someone else and it is always voice mail, no one has returned my call. I can’t believe you can run a business this way.

Being a nurse and in the medical field for many years, this office practice is top notch. When I had my procedures, my nurses were very caring, Dr Abdalla and Dr Panton excellent Dr's. Office staff very nice also. I can't understand the few bad reviews when everyone was so wonderful, caring and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you for a very pleasant experience...

Had two procedures at the Surgical Center. Very efficient and professional staff. Loved Denise and Joleen. Nurse Peggy was so patient and sweet going over my instructions until I understood them. She is really funny too. Dr Katta spoke with me after my procedures. Was so kind to me and truly eliminated my anxiety. I highly recommend Dr Katta and the Surgical Center. His office staff not as efficient. Phone calls go unanswered at times even during regular hours. Once in the exam room you have the full attention of the nurse practitioner and the doctor. Staff is young and many new, still learning.

Horrible. I had a coloscopy consult, which I waited a hour past my appointment and finally had to walk out because I had to return to work. Today I got in for a post coloscopy check in and when I checked in I asked and I was told, they were at least 1 hour past appointment time. I walked out again and will never set foot in such a poorly managed office that has Zero concept of scheduling.

I am a 51 year old male who needed to get his colon examined, which is fully covered by insurance. During the initial exam it was determined I needed an endoscopy as well, I concurred. Four days before the surgery I was told the endoscopy would require a co-pay which was beyond my limits. After back and forth between the office and me, I requested I'd pay half up front and pay the balance off with a payment plan. Thirty six hours prior to my exam, both procedures were canceled and I was told to find another physician. Unprofessional, uncaring and unethical practice, seems to be all about the money and not about the patient's well being.

This doctor made a gross error which resulted in the prolonged suffering and ultimately the death of my Mother. She went to him describing symptoms of ulcerative colitis, for which he had treated her 2 years prior. He insisted that it could not be a relapse of UC and refused to do the necessary diagnositc testing (a colonoscopy) which would have clearly diagnosed it. As a result, my Mother suffered tremendously with excruciating bowel pain and excessive bloody diarrhea for several months. By the time we got her into appropriate care, she was severely malnourished, extremely anemic and the new doctor said it was one of the worst cases of UC he had ever seen and recommended a bowel resection. The rest is very sad history. This doctor is arrogant and dismissive and I would give him negative stars if I could. The death of my Mother and having watched her suffer endlessly and unnecessarily as she did is something that no other patient should have to experience. That is why I am writing this

Not impressed in St Lucie , FL – Jul 11, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Katta?
The staff at the Fort Pierce office is absolutely the worst medical staff I have ever dealt with. The medical providers are good enough, but whoever actually writes the prescriptions and phones them in are not very good and the none of the support staff are friendly at all. The follow up visit was to be two weeks later, the prescription was written for 13 days worth of medication and the scheduler actually made the next appointment for 16 days later. I'm still trying to get this straightened out
