Dr. Joseph Karnish, DO

Dr. Karnish, DO will take his time to explain any issues that you may have and answer your questions. He is friendly, professional and competent. It will take some time to get an appointment with him, but the medical staff within this office is also very competent.

Dr. Karnish has been my wife's and my doctor for more than 22 years. He is the most professional, caring, informative, congenial, and countless other attributes too numerous to mention. He was also my wife's Mother's doctor when she came to visit us from NY. He has called us in the evening at home to follow up on earlier questions or situations on several occasions over the years. We hope we can keep seeing him as long as we live. We couldn't be happier and look forward to each appointment just to see him again and get answers to any and all questions we have. He's irreplaceable.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Karnish at the Georgetown, Delaware, Tidal Health Clinic. I must say that I rarely see a doctor with such caring and interest in the patient as a whole. My husband was in failing health and I had left my job to care for him. Joe asked me to join him in the exam room to meet Dr. Karnish and I was amazed the attention to detail and his "presence" in the room. Dr. Karnish demonstrated knowledge regarding Joe's complicated needs and actually on one occasion fit us in his busy schedule for an urgent need. I felt cared for as well as a family member when Dr. Karnish (yes, the doctor) actually walked us out and assisted me to get Joe into our car. I'm sure both of us looked worn and tired on that day. I only regret that this note comes more than a year after Joe's passing and FAR too late. Thank you Dr. Karnish for all you do you are certainly a credit to your profession and Tidal Health! Chip

I can’t even find words to say what a great doctor Dr. Karnish is. We have been seeing him for years. He is patient and kind and I have never ever seen him raise his voice or speak rudely even when provoked. He is super knowledgeable and thorough at every visit and knows just how to put your mind at ease. He’s great with my kids also and communicates with them just as easily as he does with me. Doctors like this are few and far between!! We are so grateful for him.

Dr.Karnish is an amazing doctor I've been with him since his beginning, he's also on the 4th generation in my family. He has the best bed side manner, very professional, understanding, great listener. I can talk to him about everything and anything. I would highly recommend him to everyone. If he were to ever retire is be lost, its hard to find that great doctor patient relationship. With Dr. Karnish it doesn't matter your age he has that great connection, my grand kids love him who can say that
